1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Leather cut out bag and studded wallet on: January 04, 2014 03:04:37 PM

Hi there!
Here are to projects I made recently! I'm quite excited about these because they look okay. Smiley
They don't look like I made them.... more like I bought them.

I saw these clear clutches on the web, so I decided to incorporate that detail into a leather bag.
I wanted it to be a little modern so I decided to cut out a circle on the bag for the handle.
I wasn't so easy sewing leather, especially around the handle part and the zipper. The stitching is a little wobbly.

For the clear part I used some transparent vinyl fabric.

Since there was leftover fabric I decided to make a matching wallet.
I added the studs because it was a little plain, for my taste.

How do you like it?  Smiley

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Once upon a time, i made myself a skirt.... on: November 07, 2010 03:03:07 PM
I sewed a skirt. Yay for me!
It wasn't hard.  My first skirt  after a looong  time.
I just  sewed a looong rectangle of  fabric together, gathered the fabric block to fit my waste and added a strap all around long  enough to wrap. I think i'll add a zipper to it though, because there's this space there.
Overall  i  liked the result, pretty unbelievable for me.

Different ways to wear it^^

I got  a lot of compliments on it, i wore the way it loooks on the first  pic.
I made another one for  friend, too bad she took it before a could even take a shot.

What do you think of it?

Hi everybody!!! Just found out that http://m-sewing.com/  put most of the patterns for free. There are lots of free patterns in the womens section, on standard sizes S, M, L, XL. There are patterns for a lot of stuff like skirts, awesome dresses, pants, coats and more in PDF.
Hope you'll like.

Hi everybody, i totally need help, i am making my own dress to go to my cousin's wedding, so i have a question i am making a dress like these ones:

I have already started working on the bodice, i made the pattern for it (the bodice i mean).
I have a question n the skirt how do i make it look full? Do i have to add the tulle(cuz i want to make the dress without the tulle), or do i have do make the waist big and gather it(is that necessery cuz in those links it looks like the skirt is gathered), i tried to make a circle skirt before but it doesn't look full or at least like the examples there. so i need help please? Huh

By the way, i am a sewing beginner, and i used this tutorial to make the first circle skirts.

Please, please, please help i only have 3 weeks.  Undecided

Hi, this the first time i post in this thread. I made this bag, or purse, i think i should call it purse. I think it's so cute and fluffy, and PINK!!!
I made it out of my sister's sweater.
Here it is:

And it has a zipper, my first zipper trial, it was kind of hard to insert the zipper, but it came up ok.
