Just wondering, how much fabric did you use for the skirt part and how much for the top?
It looks like you don't need that much fabric. Am I right?

You don't sound stupid! I'm not sure the exact measurements, but definitely less than a yard for the top and about a yard for the skirt.

I saw these thing over and over again over here at craftster, but I have one question.

Why would you still use these things if there is a disposable version? Truly, doesn't this just give a huge mess to clean up after they're used?
I've never seen anyone with them, ever, but that could be because I'm from holland xD

Well, I msut say that I'm really curious now.
