1  Afghan for Dad, Christmas 2009 "Tha Mangroves" in Crochet: Completed Projects by M Fox on: February 28, 2010 10:46:18 PM
I bought this yarn thinking to use a specific pattern, but decided instead to pick a few patterns from a 63 pattern stitch booklet.  I call it "The Mangroves" because of the colors, brown from roots, green for seaweed, blue for water, multi for seashells and sea glass.  It's probably my largest project I've ever finished.

Yay!  I have pics!
String Theory chose Gir from Invader Zim and Foxes for the themes.
This is lovable Gir on the front of t-shirt

Both Girs  - one on shirt, other on boxers

When his eyes are red he is in 'Duty Mode' - back of boxers

Wonderful fox done in applique and paint - check out the fabric! Little stars, so cute!

Thank you so much String Theory - I love them!  Grin

Hooray for Craftster Angels!
mcook72677 did an awesome job on my undies!

Unfortunately, my camera was in a touchy mood, and only two photos came out  Sad

Friday's in my favorite - for obvious reasons!  Grin

Thank you so much, mcook!  If you took better photos, please post them.

ETA:  mcook also included a bar of handmade soap and two bath cakes (is that the correct word?  or would they be bath salts that are put in a form?).
When I opened the box I was greeted by the delicious aroma of cucumber and cantalope - mmmm!
The undies were wrapped up in pretty ribbons, too!

Well, according to my DC#, my package to smotheredsleepingeauty arrived at her permanent address on the 10th.  She is away at college, so I don't know if she has picked up the package yet, so bsonlytoots told me to go ahead and post the photos.

She collects seashells, likes motorcycles and fencing, and is ok with adult themes.  One pair is based on a design from a skirt she reconned from jeans.  I hope she likes them!

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - Backs

Thursday, Friday, Saturday - Fronts

Friday, Saturday - Backs

Saturday Back - sorry it's a little blurred

Wednesday has a pocket!

To hold appropriate contents for "Hump Day". Shocked

I took a few liberties with the names of the days and used Mondaze for Monday, Hump Day for Wednesday, and Crafterday for Saturday.
I used mostly fabric paint and stencils - which was a new craft for me.
The red heart is lace trim I contorted and hand stitched.
Tuesday's flower is an iron-on applique.

9  8 point compass star afghan to sweater? in Crochetalongs by M Fox on: May 24, 2008 06:16:54 PM
When I ran out of the color yarn I needed for my 12 point afghan, I decided to experiment with stuff from my stash.  I thought an 8 point compass star would be neat - THEN I thought that having the colors alternate for each point would be *really* neat.

Part way through I decided to try and turn it into the spiral sweater that is in the knitting section, which is why you see the big holes.

10  Re: 12-point Star Blanket~along (a.k.a. Round Ripple) in Crochetalongs by M Fox on: May 23, 2008 09:29:17 PM
WIP - ran out of one color, so this is not finished.  I'm planning on 9 more rows, which will alternate the variegated and the chocolate.
It's Red Heart Soft Yarn, and I'm using an H hook.
