Oh.. my.. goodness. Miss, you're my new muse. I'm now inspired to make matching lamps for my bedroom, only using 2 busted nintendos (what can I say? I'm a packrat).

Someone needs to bake you cookies for being so freakin' clever.

I have to say that your bracelets magnificent, and the tie is awesome too. If I had the time, and the two hands needed to do it, I would love to get into chain maille. But that won't be possible for a bit longer. Stupid machinary at work, always hurting me. But good work. I'd buy it.

Here's the only site I could find, and boy have I been searching. I absolutely love rubber ducks. Three bucks for a set of six doesn't sounds too bad to me.

I got some chinese food boxes at a local craft store and then put bows on top of them with chopsticks stuck through the bow. I remember seeing a recipe for edible fortune cookies somewhere recently too...

I thought about making him real fortune cookies, but after attempting the sculpey cookies, I realised what kind of mess I was getting myself into. Besides, he's like me and doesn't like the cookies. ha. So it would have been a waste.
76  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Death Metal X-mas Stocking on: February 28, 2005 06:08:26 PM
Holy crap. I know what kind of stocking I'm going to have this xmas. I can see me making something sorta' similiar one day soon with some of the  band patches I have. But still, that's pretty f**king awesome.

Cute, for Valentine's Day I made red fortune cookies out of foam with a Valentiney fortune inside.  Now if only I had a cool box like that... Nice job!

I have to say that trying to put the fortune into the cookie was pretty interesting. I used lots of random tools like a tiny crochet needle, long hemos and tweezers. Next time, I need to make bigger spaces for easier access.

Aw. Why thank you all. Soon the rest will be finished, as soon as I get more time off from work.

Thanks to the discount V-Day goodies at a local drug store (CVS to be exact), I found some nifty take out boxes that inspired the crap out of me. And hopefully will make a nice gift for a friend.

First off, the box that started it all. In it's original form.

After a nice coat of green paint, kanji and acrylic sealer.
love and..

prosperity.

Then, to one of the hardest parts of the gift, the sculpey fortune cookie.

So far that's all I have done. I'm working on origami orchids as well as felt sushi and a few other things to go inside. I just hope he enjoys it.
