61  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Cigarette cartons...what to do? on: May 22, 2008 09:09:41 AM
I've always wanted to cover a home bar with cigarette packs, or just make one out of them.

You could always trim them up (like take the opened flaps off), reinforce them and make them into like a magazine/mail/etc organizer.
62  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Stamps out of erasers on: May 10, 2008 12:37:41 PM
I've seen lots and lots of people carve their own stamps out of erasers, which is freakin' awesome. I've always wanted to do it, but never remember to buy erasers to do it with. But I was wondering, since I have mounds and mounds of Sculpey eraser clay, if I could use that. Has anyone ever tried it? The boredom of work is tempting me to try that right now... hopefully the toaster oven here won't burn my stuff again.

"Is that an eraser in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"

My aunt works at Alvista Health Care, and they're having their annual Fall Festival. It will be on October 13, 2007 from 10am to 5pm.

It's $10 per booth, where you can sell whatever you like (crafts, food, etc). All the booth fees goes to the activity department, so my aunt can continue doing neat things with the elderly there.

If you're interested, you can contact Rosalyn Sheets at (706)672-4241 between 8:30am to 5pm Tuesday through Friday. Tell her Elizabeth sent ya Cheesy

69  Georgia / Georgia: Central / Grantville Days Festival on: August 17, 2007 10:02:28 PM
In September (15-16 to be exact), they're having a festival with lots of vendors and whatnot. In fact, I'll have my very own booth this year with my best friend and her mummy. XD

If you're in (or near like me, LaGrange w00t!) Grantville, you should come check it out (and buy all my stuff).

70  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: Baby Shower Games on: January 26, 2007 08:21:04 PM
Some people think this game is gross, but I thought it was quite hilarious at my baby shower. It's a little 'guess the poop' game where you melt mini candy bars in diapers and have everyone try to guess which candy bar it is. Never in my life have I seen so many women turn up their noses to chocolate.

Another idea taken from my shower would be to buy blank bibs or onesies and have everyone decorate one for the baby (iron on appliques or transfers, etc). Not really a game, but oh so fun and I'll also never run out of onesies.
