51  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Skeleton Hand Necklace on: September 02, 2008 03:12:35 PM
I love this time of year.. When all stores carry neat little Halloween decorations. I came across these little bad boys the other day and nearly bought the store out. I think I have a problem... but the possibilities are endless! So far, I've only turned one pack into necklaces. The hands are awesome cause they 'click' together making them the coolest clasps ever. I'm truly in love... And once my toddler goes to bed, another pack of these little beauties have a date with my Dremel.

52  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Yes, more cake. But this one is a lie. on: September 02, 2008 11:34:48 AM
Those are too freakin' cute.

I could really use some pointers on working with it. It works best when you use your fingers, but how the heck to you get it off afterward?

Hand sanitizer & (slightly damp) baby wipes are my best friends.

all of your creations are very cool! I may already know the answer to this question, but does the cool burnt octopus still glow in the dark?

::sigh:: I wish.. After it was burnt to a crisp, I painted over it with black to help smooth out some of its roughness... I'm going to make another one using my oven, since it's not like the toaster oven at work that doesn't want me to eat anything not burned. Evil toaster oven...

hahahahaha! And I thought I was the only one that rick rolled people without using the internet. Kudos! My boyfriend better look out now.. I have more ideas... hehehe

Thanks everyone for all the compliments  Cheesy

Your really crative.. i could never think of original stuff Undecided
Did you paint them or that was the color of the polymer clay ?

Most of my stuff I do not paint.. Pretty much 95% of them are made using that color of clay.

You would never guess that this octopus was once a mix of glow in the dark and translucent sculpey. My toaster oven at work is the mouth of hell and burns everything within 2.5 minutes. I rather enjoy what happened to it.. it gave it a really neat texture and well.. looks awesome in black, especially with the silver.

This was pure genius on my behalf... I finally found a use for silica beads you find in new shoe boxes and other crazy random things. And I also found out that when coating them in sculpey glaze sometimes makes some of them explode. It kept me on my toes and totally turned out awesome.

This is my corporate-safe, cutesie skull. Most of the cubicle zombies think it's a cloud... No imagination, I swear. lol

Bubbly zombie hands are so cute Cheesy

First time experimenting with spider web cane.

Painting with poly clay is interesting. And I love this pendant, I want to make one in red now.

---

Inside the jar there's various shades of blue & pearl beads, along with a treasure map and other little sparkly do-dads. It's one of the cutest spur of the moment creations ever.

A cuppy cake for my daughter.. once she's old enough to finally wear it.

---

This thing is freakin' huge! I wear one constantly.

---

This one I'm thinking about putting on a hemp necklace, it's nice and chunky.

---

Yet another rather large pendant.

I <3 Jeffry Combs & mad scientists.

No comment is needed for this one... The cuteness says it all.

I truly do have a skull obsession

Phew! My pinky is tired of copying & pasting... Hope you like them.

This is a collection of a nice-size chunk of all (my favorite) sushi/takeout related sculpey (and paper) creations from the past 2-3 years. I'm queen of procrastination and take forever to upload pictures.  Cheesy

Group photo.

My personal favorites are the bracelet (Which was my very first sushi/takeout experiment and my 3rd project ever using sculpey), the 2 small plates o' sushi charms and the little salmon egg thingys. I don't like eating the stuff, but it's so much fun to make. Whatcha think?
