I claim blupaisan for watercolors.

Hey! I'm seasidemuses, a college gal living in Illinois, USA.

This is my first ATC swap, so I haven't developed any particular pet peeves yet. Send me all your religion, gore, politics, and nudity, hooray! I guess I could say that on the whole I prefer muted colors to brights, and prefer artsy or witty over cutesy, but I'm sure whatever you send me will be fabulous.

MY THEMES:
Stained glass
Poppies
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Elephants
Abstract freebie (no representational/recognizable elements)
Plaid
Favorite shade of your favorite color
Detective fiction
India
A historical period, event, or decade you wish you were alive to see
Your favorite city
Feathers
Folk costume or traditional dress (any culture)
Illuminated manuscript
Trains

If you sent to me, I promise I will post pictures this afternoon!

How cool! Have you tried any other stain markers that give a lighter finish? I was thinking of trying this with some of my maps, but I'm worried about losing detail/readability

I am an awful and terrible person. I took pictures of my round one gift ages ago, and then the transfer cable for my camera broke, and I just forgot to upload them. Haylie and Aheartofglass, if you have better pictures of these, I bet everyone would love to see them, because they're way more beautiful than these pictures can express.

Round 1 -- Glass from Haylie

This is sooo gorgeous. My roommates were all in shock when I took it out of the box -- "Oh my gosh, it's like someone painted everything you like on a glass!" Yep, that's pretty much right. The design is totally rad, really striking while still being elegant and sophisticated -- and Haylie even sneaked a Fifth Element reference in there. I tried to photograph this a million different ways, but these are done with my camera phone, so none of them do it justice.

Aheartofglass, my round 2 partner, also totally spoiled me.
SO MUCH LAVENDER. *swoon*
Lavender scent thingymabob, and not just any scent thingymabob, but the bobbly kind with the squishy bobbles, which I happen to be totally obsessed with. *squishes*
There are also two little packages of "paper soap" (awesome for travel!) and a gorgeous bracelet.

Close-up of the bracelet: it's really hard to see, but the glass gems each have a very subtle variation in hue. I find a lot of bracelets floppy and annoying, but this one fits so well and is so breathable that I'm not sure I'll ever take it off.

Thank you guys sooooo much! You guys rock and are both so talented!

EnginerdLisa: that has happened to me a couple of times, usually when I pick a picture, decide I want a different picture, and try to press "back" to select a different picture. Not sure if this actually causes the problem or if it's just a fluke.
