11  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Black and Grey Craft Room Re-do! on: May 20, 2011 11:23:31 AM
Looks good! And I LOVE the rick-rack shelf! I might have to make me one of those...
12  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Mommy, I hate my yellow room... why didn't you paint it pink? on: May 20, 2011 11:22:11 AM
Is it light pink and white or white and pink? Either way I like it, I just know that once you slap a strong color on your walls, other colors around the area change into other shades Grin

Ok, two things.

1. This is a seriously awesome art piece, I LOVE that you can move the circles around!

2. You don't need no instructions to know how to rock. Hahahaha <3 Carl
14  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: I need alittle help with weight gaining recipes. (please don't flame me..) on: May 09, 2011 09:39:25 AM
Great idea with the meal replacement bars. Those only help you loose weight or maintain if you eat them sparingly. Throw one in as a snack whenever and it might help. Fried foods can be hard on the tummy if you eat to  much. Maybe a cookbook full of ol fashioned like grandma used to make meals would help. Things like chicken pot pie can be full of healthy vegies and stuff, but also full of butter, cream and pastry dough. Or pot roast with mashed potatoes and stuff like that. That way he wont feel like he is eating deep fried everything, or unhealthy food. Does he like milkshakes? I love em and can tell you, they put weight on you, fast. haha.
15  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Platform Couch on: April 24, 2011 01:46:14 PM
This is such a good idea, I always wondered if I could convert an old day bed into a couch. And I agree on the cleaning of a regular couch, mine is always covered in dog hair, no matter how I try. If only my husband had any woodworking skills I would make him get to work! Make sure you post pictures once you get all the cushions made.

Those look great! I have the same pattern, I just never got around to doing it. But I DO need a new pair of house shoes...Great job!
17  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Fabric Curlers *w/tutorial link **UPDATED pics of outcome p.1 ***AFTER WORK p.5 on: April 21, 2011 07:06:31 PM
I love the curls these curlers make! My hair is very thin and very straight, so hopefully these will work, as no other curlers or irons have worked...can't wait to make some!

also, just wondering, how long is each of the people's hair who've done this? i've noticed that makes a huge difference in the length of curled hair, staying power, etc, etc.

I was just going to comment on how to make this stay longer. It's not how long your hair is, but how well it hold a curl, how healthy your hair is, products used...A lot of factors! If you have hard to curl hair you will absolutely want to use a setting lotion. Even if your hair curls well a setting lotion will help with frizz and whatnot. I use lotta body when I do my pin curls, it works great and you buy it concentrated so you can dilute it to your specific needs. You can get it cheap at Sally beauty supply.
