1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: ugliest sweater ever --critiques please! on: February 27, 2011 11:25:55 AM
did you check your gauges? That could be why the body and the sleeves are off (it took me awhile to realize that the gauges are there for a reason when i started knitting  Cheesy ). As for the sleeves i had the same problem when i first started knitting too. I started crocheting the two peices together and that helped make it stretchier so it wasnt tight. I also always start at the armpit because i find that the starting and ending point is always the ugliest. Maybe starting there will help you too. I hope this helps, sorry if it doesnt!  Smiley

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / soap skirt on: March 11, 2010 01:38:50 PM
Ok so my first real post and im kind scared, here goes. So i found this really cute soap fabric in amish country the other day and had no idea what to do with it so i decided on a simple little skirt. I was originaly going to use it as lining because it's such a loud print but i really like it as a skirt. I've gotten mixed views on it, my sister says it's the worst thing shes ever seen and my brother thinks it looks "silly" so i dont know if i'll be brave enough to wear it in public but here it is.

P.S. please dont mind the unironedness of it all, my iron got icky stuff burnt onto it  Cry and the bad photos  Roll Eyes silly boys

this is the fabric. so cute  Cheesy

The color didn't really come out right in any of these. I'd say it's somewhere in between but closest to the first

Thanks for looking  Grin

9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Help! can you read this on: September 11, 2008 03:24:14 AM
i am chinese so i can read it Wink

the first 2 characters would mean more like "avoid" then "escape"

the last character could mean alot of things. like air, space, etc. it could also mean "nothingness" so ur good. Grin

逃离 would mean escape better. (sorry i cant make the chinese font bigger)
so it would look like 逃离空.

i hope that helped!

sorry smilegrl123 but my computer doesnt show me any chinese font.  Roll Eyes but i guess avoid space etc. isnt so bad  Cheesy
