Okay, so I've been trying for weeks to get the hang of dpns, and I am just a mess.  My stitches get twisted, I knit into the wrong side of the stitches through the middle, I drop needles, stuff I didn't even know could go wrong with knitting.  However, my grandmother is going to see if she can help me sometime this week.  In the meantime, though, any chance of some stories of your first dpn experience, so I don't feel so dumb? 

Hi!  I got another present done.  It's for my friend Isabel.  I used the pattern for the knitted flower from the book Make Stuff.  The middle is beads glued onto a button, and I sewed a barrette... thing (y'know, the silver ones with nothing on them) onto the back.  I'm pretty happy with it.    edit: I just looked at the picture-- it's much more white in real life than in the picture.

There are some fingerless mitts I made for my friend Ruby-- she speaks French and is an avid photographer, so I thought she needed some mitts that she can take pictures in!   



My friend Brianne likes wearing scarves, but she's constantly dragging them through paint and stuff, so she gets a funky buttoning neckwarmer.  I looooove this yarn, I had it left over from making a dread tam (which I wear despite my lack of dreads) .
