I found a great linen dishtowel at a thrift store and made this bag out of it.

I really like how it turned out. Can't wait to try some more stuff with some crazy 70's fabric I found at the thirft store as well!

So here's what I've done. It's about as far as I can get. I'm out of pictures. There are a lot of pics, but it doesn't even begin to touch all the pics that Brock has taken or put up on his website or deviantart. Pardon the glare. I'm a page cover nazi when it comes to scrapbooks. They're kinda grainy too because my ISO was too high. The pages are categorized (the best I could) and then I have included little quotes from famous artists, photographers, etc (hence the title of the scrapbook). Some of his best work isn't even in here because I couldn't find them anywhere! I didn't want to ask him where they were because he would want to know why and ask 2 million questions!! I don't think I've ever gotten him a gift that he didn't know about. He's not good at surprises

My mom picked out this fabric. It's lined in lime green fabric. This was the first messenger bag I made where I started adding pockets on the front of the bag under the flap and on the back of the bag.

My mom picked out the fabrics for this bag too. She said I needed to make a bag that was "toned down" and "whimsical". Well, there ya go mom!! I'm happy with how it turned out though.

This one is for my cousin. She loves green and stars and said just make me a tote bag that has a pocket for my cell phone She loves it. I'm working on a Jack Skellington bag for her next.

I love this polka dot fabric. It's lined with the same fabric. I may need to go back and get some for myself and make a wallet or something out of it.

I've been busy busting out some more bags for my shop. I made this tasty little number today. I love it! Reminds me of yummy tangerines!





Lately, I've been obsessed with cute buttons. And fabric flowers. I'm trying different ideas for flowers. For those of you who have sewn grosgrain ribbon onto projects before, how do you do it? When I do it, the needles holes are huge. I'm not using an upholsetry needle either. I just think it looks so bad when you can see huge needles holes on crisp white ribbon. Maybe that's just me. For now, I've been using heavy duty Stitch Witchery and pray it holds up. But I'd  much rather sew it on, ya know?

I love this fabric. Just love it! I tried to make a laptop bag with it and it flopped. So I made a little floppy messenger style bag with it.

There's pockets on each side. They're about big enough for your cell phone and stuff you want right on hand. Keys would probably fit in there too. Just not mine because I have so many keys!!

Here's the inside. Heavy cream colored canvas. Originally, I had more pockets on the inside, but when I was putting my tag in, well I put it in upside down. DOH! So I had to take the whole panel out. DAMN!I put my cell phone in there so you could get an idea of the size.

Here's the inside. There are two pockets on the sides and then a zipper pocket on the back part of the bag. Then you can put stuff behind the zipper pouch too. So that's another pocket!

I didn't put an hardware on it to keep it closed (like velcro or snaps) because the flap is pretty heavy in comparison to the bag and it's heavy enough to just flop closed. I'm just so excited how the piping turned out. I can't wait to use it on more projects!!!

Sorry for anyone who saw me post this on Livejournal.....But I love this bag!! Green is my favorite color! I need to go back to Joann's and get more of this fabric!!
