2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Potato Sack Beach Bag! on: September 06, 2004 04:01:46 PM
I made this a little while ago ( like in June) but just got a digi-cam to post pics with... I got the idea from a book called RETRO REVAMP This is my beach bag made out of a 50-pound potato sack(thanks to rainbow foods for giving me an empty one for free!), a plasticy- vinyl table cloth from kmart, and some nylon webbing.

It holds a ton of stuff! but its still not monsterly too big or anything!
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Bamboo Handle Troubles on: September 01, 2004 10:17:41 AM
Hi everyone! I was just trying to make a little purse the other day and when i tried to sew on the bamboo circle handles the presser foot hits the handles and it wont work for me... I tried thinking of other ways ( like sewing the sleeves without the handles in them and sliding them in but it wont work cuz the handles dont come apart to get them in)  I ended up just fabric gluing them on but now its starting to come unglued and it looks kinda crappy with glue marks and such. Please help me out if you can! thanks!
