6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Gigantically Hideous Yet Wonderful: Texas Sized Mum to Honor "Breaking Dawn" on: August 08, 2008 09:20:44 AM
Awww, it turned out nice.  Definitely not Texas sized yet.  I've seen it all when it comes to homecoming mums.  My mom used to make and sell them at her craft store a million years ago.  Heart-shaped triple mums, light-up mums, over the shoulder mums and other truly obnoxious ones.  The one you created was tame by Texas standards.  LOL!  I bet you had a great time wearing it though.

For the next book release, consult all the Texans on craftster to tell you how you can up the gawdy obnoxious factor.  The thing I'm thinking it's missing most is all the ribbons that hang from the "mum".  You could have your name, Edward's name, the book name, the year, and then you need to get all the whips, braids, and trinkets to add.  I haven't read the books so I can't suggest what trinkets you might add.

Great Job! Smiley
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Breast Cancer Awareness Tote Bag on: July 29, 2008 08:32:49 AM
The bag looks great!  I bet your sil will love it.

I would also like to know where you got the fabric!  I am walking in the Breast Cancer 3-Day in November.  The fabric would be great for making little projects to sell for fundraising events.
