1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Re: how to install magnetic snaps? on: November 20, 2007 05:26:48 PM
Should I install the magnetic snaps before I sew the lining and outside together?  Because it's kind of hard to get under the lining to get the snaps to clamp, if you know what I mean.  Next time I guess I'll use vinyl behind the outside fabric.  Thanks for the help, guys!  I just couldn't believe the package I got didn't give any instructions on installing them.  Oh, I got mine at Jo-Ann, where I work.
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / how to install magnetic snaps? on: November 20, 2007 02:19:52 PM
I'm making a little snap wallet, and I'm all done making the wallet.  I just bought the snaps, but they have things sticking out of the end of the magnets, and I have no idea what to do with them!  I don't know if I'm supposed to sew them, or what.  Thanks for reading!

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Cute, simple bookmarks. on: November 17, 2007 07:03:51 PM
I drew the fawn on cardstock and cut it out with an exacto-knife  Smiley I just searched for pictures for references. the rest of it is just some scrapbook paper and elmer's! hope that helps  Cheesy

Thanks!  That sounds quite fun - I shall try cutting out some shapes from now on  Smiley They look easy and quick-to-make too  Smiley
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Black Audrey Hepburn-ish sweater! on: November 17, 2007 06:25:35 PM
Thanks for the feedback!  I actually love cardigans, and I used one of my other cropped cardigans as a size/proportion template.  I was actually inspired by this Free People sweater:

I couldn't find the right fabric (my Jo-Ann's doesn't really sell sweater fabric, so I used a rib knit.  Hopefully it doesn't look too rib knit-like).  I also ditched the collar because it looked kinda funny, but I liked the idea of a 4-button flappy cardigan.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Black Audrey Hepburn-ish sweater! on: November 17, 2007 03:02:25 PM
I made this sweater!  It's 3/4 bell sleeve, and it's doubly layered (held down by the buttons).  Its handiwork is not great but it's my first long-sleeve success!  (I tried making a winter coat; what a stupid idea since I refuse to use patterns)  What do you guys think?

Yes, I love the fawn one too!  Question - did you cut out the fawn and if yes, how did you get the pattern?

Wow, this is so cool!  I love the fabrics you chose.  I've never heard of a tampon holder, lol.  I don't use them, so maybe I'll create a pad holder...hmm...nice idea...

I'm obsessed with this!  It's absolutely adorable.  If you (or anyone) sold this, I would absolutely buy it.  Thanks so much for working on a tutorial!
