Should I install the magnetic snaps before I sew the lining and outside together? Because it's kind of hard to get under the lining to get the snaps to clamp, if you know what I mean. Next time I guess I'll use vinyl behind the outside fabric. Thanks for the help, guys! I just couldn't believe the package I got didn't give any instructions on installing them. Oh, I got mine at Jo-Ann, where I work.
I'm making a little snap wallet, and I'm all done making the wallet. I just bought the snaps, but they have things sticking out of the end of the magnets, and I have no idea what to do with them! I don't know if I'm supposed to sew them, or what. Thanks for reading!
Thanks for the feedback! I actually love cardigans, and I used one of my other cropped cardigans as a size/proportion template. I was actually inspired by this Free People sweater: http://images.freepeople.com/is/image/FreePeople/75X0710_43_a?$zoom$ I couldn't find the right fabric (my Jo-Ann's doesn't really sell sweater fabric, so I used a rib knit. Hopefully it doesn't look too rib knit-like). I also ditched the collar because it looked kinda funny, but I liked the idea of a 4-button flappy cardigan.
I made this sweater! It's 3/4 bell sleeve, and it's doubly layered (held down by the buttons). Its handiwork is not great but it's my first long-sleeve success! (I tried making a winter coat; what a stupid idea since I refuse to use patterns) What do you guys think?
