i remember seeing this posted in the dessert section.. i too was unaware of the challenge.. d'oh! and i made my very first gingerbread house this yr. i commented on this saying i liked the way you had used the graduated cutters for the leaves. Also it makes me hungry to look at it! haha!  Smiley

awww i have always loved the idea of sun jars, such a great idea for your gift exchange.. probably something nobody else would thing of! I think they make a really cute gift, i'm so impressed that u managed to find the bits you needed and were able to make it yourself.. it seems so simple to me now! i'm so tempted to make one for myself or as gifts!! great job!  Grin Grin Grin

Awwwww it looks scrumptious! it's making my mouth water! i love the idea of using the graduated heart cutters for the branches to build the tree, very clever.  Wink

i keep comin back to look at these over and over! haha! i think i might try making a few as a gift for my bro and his gf for their next yr Christmas pressie, i think they'd get a kick out of them, and his gf is quite crafty so i know she'd appreciate something hand made. i hope i can pull off something half as good as yours tho!  Grin

we didn't really have a plan, we just did it as we went, but next time i will make templates for the shapes of the house. But it' not difficult to do, just alot of fun. I do want to make a neater more thought out one next time tho. i love that you can just do what you like with it tho, and there's no wrong way to do it.  Wink

aww i love these!! i cant decide which are my fav?!! i really like the christmas tree ones, cos u can tell what they are even tho they're a bit abstract, but the santa and reindeer ones are awesome too they're sooo cute!!

i hope thats ok. i had such fun with my friend making the gingerbread houses!!! i know neither of them are tidy etc, but it really was a great way to spend an afternoon. Smiley and from now on i want to make one every year, hoping to improve my technique and plan more next time.

i LOVE looking at all the desserts posted here, makes my mouth water!
