2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Bunny Dress on: April 21, 2011 03:04:40 PM
Right in time for Easter!  Found this panel while I was destashing...good thing I found it, my middle girl fits into the largest size right now!

There are a few more pictures on my blog...but anyway, this is from a Daisy Kingdom panel I picked up years ago!  I can't believe how much stuff like this I still have!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Hello Kitty Halloween Dress on: October 23, 2010 09:10:13 AM
My girlies love hello kitty!  So I made them halloween print dresses!

I made another one (but this is my favorite) and plan on posting it on my blog later today.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / never again... on: October 23, 2010 09:05:15 AM
I thought it would be cute, but simplicity 2289 did not turn out very flattering.

I still love the pockets, but I won't be making this for me again!

I posted this on my blog as well...I'm just really disapointed in the pattern....
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / my little monsters... on: October 23, 2010 08:52:09 AM
I made these little monsters as party favors a while ago and wanted to share...the how (sort of) I made them and more pictures can be found on my blog.

Now my problem is I need another fun and stash busting project for the next party...I'm out of ideas...but I've got lots of polar fleece left!  Smiley

suggestions and links to projects ideas very much appriciated!
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / monster party! on: May 06, 2010 07:05:54 PM
I made these for a kiddy party...all the guests got to take one home! Smiley

7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / New Pj's on: May 06, 2010 06:36:31 PM
I've had this fabric forever!!  So much of it that my girls are tired of me making pj's from it for them!   I found and old pattern I traced but didn't label and thought to try it out to see what it was.  I think it was for a yoga outfit.  The fabric is stretchy and comfy, but I really don't like the way the style looks on me.  Even if I think these will become the most comfy pj's I own!

Even though the top fits well, it tugs too much in the back.  I didn't feel it, but pictures don't lie.

8  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / raggedy dress on: May 06, 2010 06:19:06 PM
It took 8 yrs, but now it's done! Smiley

Good thing I have 2 more girls who can wear it...the 10 yr. old probably won't fit!
9  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / winter fairy costume on: November 04, 2009 11:08:10 PM
Old wedding dress, stickers and some polar fleece!

The issue is always jackets over costumes.  This year I decided to make each kid polar fleece outfits to go under their costumes.  My 9 yr. old came up with the idea of a winter fairy...as I stared into my stash a light bulb went off:  that old wedding dress I found at the thrift store years ago will work well here!  So i tool off the top, kept the skirt.  Made a new top, and let my kids go to town with the stickers!  The wings and wand came from the dollar store...wish I had a better picture of the wand--it got covered with stickers too!

They were all so happy with the results!  And of course wanted to post it on craftster right away!  Smiley

Just in case anyone is intested in what the original dress looked like:

10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Ma ma ma my Sophia on: May 05, 2008 09:42:29 PM
So the whole time I was working on this bag I was singing "my Sophia" to the tune of "my Sharona"...you know, major sleep deprivation happening in my life! (is it any wonder with a newborn, a 2 yr old a 5 and 7 yr old running around my house??)  Surprisingly I did get this bag done, not in time for the sew along with Monkey Foot Designs and Stacy Sews...but I give them credit for inspiring me to start! Smiley  This was sort of my "test" bag.  I improvised wherever I could, i did a lousy job on the lining and I really didn't use the right kind of zipper...still, she turned out kind of cute!

So here she is....my little pretty one...my Sophia!

I used fabric covered buttons on the bottom because I had no purse feet in the house...I was tempted to use a few bolts (yeah, like screw and nut bolts) but decided to leave it for the next Sophia I make (a denim wonder in my dreams)

I made the handles longer...added an outside pocket...

and added inside pockets

I took these pictures this morning on my bed...I don't normal carry TV remotes in my bags! Smiley

Hope this inspires your own journey to Sophia land!
