This is my first project ever... besides taking in a t-shirt.
Anyway, I really love these shirred dresses by Cool Change: http://www.playhouseclothing.com/store/cchwhtdress.html
But there is no way on earth I'm gonna pay $140 for something that looked so easy to make just because Jessica Simpson was caught wearing it. Soooo... I bought some cheapy cotton fabric at Joann for $2 a yard and got to experimenting. Thanks to mickncrispy's tutorial
and a little patience, I made this dress.
It looks a little muu muu-ish w/o the belt.
Here it is belted. I gotta wear a tank top underneath it 'cause my hoo-hoo's are too big for me to go bra-less

I look like Laura Ingall's black twin with the boots on and this fabric lol, but I think it came out good for a first try. I'm gonna buy rayon (that's the fabric the real Cool Change dresses are made of) and try again.
Edit: I had to edit the link to the tutorial I used. Here it is: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=49544.0
