281  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Robots on: October 11, 2004 05:37:20 AM
Wow, those are amazing!  Robots are cool, but they will one day take over.

This just reminded me of one of my favourite comic strips. Smiley

Thanks. Smiley

Idol is my guilty pleasure.  I got addicted to it when I was living in a remote area of the Northern Territory last year (not so much to do there...), and was stunned this year to discover a contestant who sings songs I love. Smiley

Hi,

Long time member, short time poster here with my latest stencil. Smiley

I sewed the bag and made the stencil myself -- it's Chanel Cole from Australian Idol (yes, yes, I'm a big geek...). Smiley

284  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Need Pattern for a Cool Men's hat/beenie on: August 08, 2004 12:53:56 AM
I knitted up the Hot Head pattern for Mr Crumpet, but the yarn I had was thin and had to be double-stranded.  I ended up using navy (spun with a lighter blue), maroon (spun with greens and blues), dark green (with coloured speckles throughout), and a combination of brown and black.  It came out really well and he loves it.  I'll take a picture later to post.
