41  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Monthly Dye Alongs 2- SUGGEST A THEME on: December 14, 2008 08:32:43 AM
That's my first for our DA. I dyed it yesterday. Obviously the inspiration comes from "Lucy in the sky with diamonds" or better said the words "with tangerine trees and marmelade skies".

Actually, the colors are bit more vivid...

Thanks for sharing ! These patterns are beautiful. I don't do cross stich but I already see some of them as fair-isle knitting !

Wow ! Thanks for sharing ! I can't imagine knitting or crochetting panties... The embroidery patterns and the baby clothes on the second cover look lovely too. Smiley
49  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Completed Projects / Re: A few new weaving projects on: December 05, 2008 03:09:29 AM
Thanks, everyone!  As always, I heartily encourage anyone who has an interest in weaving to give it a try, if possible.  Smiley
I totally second you with this ! Weaving is so relaxing ! I have the same loom as you and I do love plain weave too ! I bought the second heddle kit (and heddles of course) but I haven't tried multiple heddles weaving yet because I am so happy with how plain weave enhance my handspun yarns. You should see me weaving and speaking to myself things like "OMG I' making fabric...".  Grin
