21  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / My amigurumi - maneki neko! on: March 27, 2008 08:37:28 PM

I can't really call it a neko though, it look more like a fox to me.

But it got a cat tail, so it's half cat and half fox..
 Grin

The shape look a bit wonky, but I think it's quite cute.

Made this for a raffle in a craft meeting I am going to.

22  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / My first amineko!!! on: March 06, 2008 08:30:26 AM
it's my first "proper" ami.

Took me like forever to crochet.
And it took me like 4hours to assembly.. What a bad & slow sewer I am!!
(This includes the time I have to redo the leg & arm position)

The the face .... look really weird (at least it is to me)
23  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Bath Puff Yarn? on: February 23, 2008 01:05:07 AM
Is it possible to use acrylic yarn to make bath puff /pouf instead of pure cotton?
I can't seem to find a cotton yarn here that is a reasonable price to make a bath puff. All I seem here is imported Cotton yarn, most of yarn here are acrylic.

Oops: I better add that I don't live in the USA.
T_T
NO WALMART HERE! Wahhhhhhhhhhh! (I want walmart & target!!!)
24  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / A little heart... on: February 12, 2008 03:35:30 AM
It's valentine so a heart for someone special.

Look a bit wonky, I can't seem to get it to be the right shape yet.

Yes it's my phone in there, along with some other stuff.

And a simple phone cozy...

The bear ears are off I know. Because I crochet in all in one piece with out a pattern.
26  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My not-so-slouchy hat on: December 21, 2007 10:07:37 PM
This is pretty puff hat pattern made with a 4.0mm hook

and this is the results..

Front, on my head

The not-so-slouchy hat on the back,

And this is the first ever hat I done with this pattern, but it sorta went wrong, and turned into a beanie.

Oh, and I just got a 7mm hook, I might try again.
27  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Why is it like this? (One More question at the bottom post) on: December 11, 2007 10:08:56 PM
Why does my piece doesn't lay flat like anyone else? It curls  up at some bits and this looks weird

What should I do to fix it?

frog it and starts all over?

A Demented looking seal..
 with uneven flippers..

I haven't figured out how to crochet the tail flaps or to sew the flippers to the body..
so I sort of do it myself with my abilities... which doesn't work really well
A not too bad start for a beginner I think?

I'm trying something else later, may be an octopus would be easier..
