1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: The Dog Swap Gallery on: September 08, 2008 05:07:44 PM
Ok, so I FINALLY got off my lazy butt to take pictures of the great stuff teachingjonah made for Lucy!

She got a new knot...

Then she went CRAZY with her new knot...(yes, this picture is right-side up)

Then she took a nap with her knot...

Since she was being so calm and not destroying her new toy, I decided she could play with the monkey she got.  (Uh oh...here comes trouble!)

First, she inspected it...

Then she chewed on it like corn on the cob...

So I figured all was well, and I hung the beautiful towels teachingjonah made on our stove!  (Srsly, I wasn't about to let Lucy pose with them.)

I returned to Crafster, but in the middle of "Gimme Three Steps," I heard the faint sound of crunching plastic coming from my bedroom...

Yup!  Lucy took out the water bottle!  (It was inside the monkey to give her something to chew on.)  Annnd she tore a whole in the bottle.  At least she didn't destroy the monkey yet!

Unfortunately, the dog treats were moldy when they got here.  Ah!  Thank you for the recipe, though!  I'll definitely try to make them in the near future.  Thanks for all of your hard work and beautiful craftiness!

Back in town after being at the coast for a lovely weekend!  It was hot and humid, but that's the Gulf for you!

Ranger received his awesome package from Fleur1870 over the weekend.  He gets home from the doggy-hotel tonight, so I'll get pics of everything then.  Thanks, Fleur!  I love everything!!

Yay!  Can't wait to see pics!  Smiley

Oh just kidding!  I just looked!  Cuuuuute!  I have to show my mom when she gets home.  Ok, I'll have a photo sesh with Lucy so teachingjonah can see how much she's digging her presents!

Yayyyy!  I finally got back to my mom's place and opened Lucy's package.  Thank you so much, teachingjonah!!  My grandma is dog-sitting for a while, so I'll have to wait to take some pictures of Lucy "in action."  Thanks again!

According to my DC my package arrive at Fleur1870's house today, but I haven't heard a thing from her since the beginning of the swap.  Has her other partner?  I hope she likes everything.  I'll post pics later if I don't hear from her.
Hi!  Sorry I've been MIA!  I haven't opened it yet since I was trying to do last minute crafting.  I said I wasn't allowed to open it til I finished my stuff.  However...the sendout period got extended so...I think I'll open it today.  Haha oh man, I'm such a bad procrastinator.

(Btw, I'm almost done!)

Ok, I've finally started for real!  And my dad is teaching me how to use power tools!  Wink I was wearing a skirt when I practiced, too.  Talk about woman empowerment!

I've talked to both of my partners.
I started working on the first thing, and I'm super excited!  I also definitely decided what I'm doing for 2 more things.  This is so much fun!

Bbl, gotta do some crafting!  Wink

I was surfing Etsy for inspiration today and found these - http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=13488245

I just had to share  Grin
Haha yeah, but my dog actually ate a cat turd!  Then she puked it up and started to eat it again.  Yup, she's a princess alright!
I attempted to make dog biscuits, but they sucked.  My step-dad suggested wrapping bacon around a cat turd.  Ewwwww!
Oh, and yay!  Let the crafting begin!

Babalina, you have Bostons, too!  Hooray!  Here's a picture of my Boston, Lucy!

And here's one of her in ANTLERS!!  I think she likes them!

Wow!  Those look great!  Darn you, though...I've been craving sushi all day!  Maybe I'll get some tomorrow.  Cheesy
10  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Too much corn! on: July 19, 2008 12:53:38 AM
You can put it in Mexican food (quesadillas, salsa, etc.), on salads, and in soup. Maybe you could make corn chowder and freeze it?  I have no idea how to make corn chowder.
What about corn bread?  Lol again, I don't know if that would work.
