1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Embroidered wedding aisle runner on: December 17, 2008 06:39:13 PM
This is the aisle runner I embroidered for my sisters wedding. Her and husbands first initial, her theme was summer, so did a little garden underneath and if you look closley there are a few butterflies (she did a butterfly release during the ceremony as they kissed!) and a bee.  The satin stitch took forever!! I think it turned out beautiful though...I warned everyone about stepping on it *too* much, LoL.

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Ginger-bread looking dolly : ) on: April 07, 2008 06:39:59 PM
This is a doll i knitted for my niece a while ago.  I wish I had taken a photo of her without the dress on, I actually changed colors part way down her body to make it look like she had panties on. : )

The pattern was from a booklett by Jess Hutchinson, who unfortunatly doesnt sell her booklets anymore.  I've been sharing the one I have with my sister.

Hope you like it!

3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Q about project from Doodle Stitching on: September 27, 2007 09:52:45 PM
One of Amy's patterns in her new book is an embroidered design wrapped around a wooden canvas frame.  Its amazing, totally showcases your embroidered artwork and makes it stand out from the wall.  Im very excited to start on some of the ideas I have to give as christmas gifts.

My problem is that I cannot find where to buy the wood frames! I keep finding frames that are meant to go over the picture/canvas, I cant find just a plain wood frame to wrap my cloth around.

Anybody know where I can get this?  Is there a special name for it?
I saw something called a "floater"....is that what Im lookng for??

I greatly appreciate any help with this!
