6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Felt Letter Name Book (lots of pictures!) on: April 14, 2008 05:50:55 PM
I made this book for a special baby named August. I was inspired by a lot of these books on craftster, but used the binding tutorial from this lovely project: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=211040.20

I sewed the whole thing by hand because I wasn't used to using felt on my machine, but I really like the homemade look it has. Since the pages include sewed-on buttons, I did tell the mom to only use the book together with the baby for safety (I've read these warnings on other posts).

Sorry my pictures aren't better...

i got all this fabric to make bibs for the many babies that are about to be born to friends...but then i discovered that it is too advanced for me to sew bibs! i couldn't do the curve and got all frustrated and need to go back to square things.

so...how do you guys make burp cloths? what kind of fabric?

OR...how can i make a simple blanket with cotton and flannel fabric?

OR....what other non-curvy items can i make??
