2  colorful baby blanket in Crochet: Completed Projects by marylini on: August 17, 2008 10:10:23 AM
here's a simple blanket i made for a baby boy who is due on friday...it is simple, but i love the colors. they are brighter in person. it also took a long time because it was done with thin cotton yarn and a small hook.

4  Re: Little Visitor Swap Round 8 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by marylini on: July 05, 2008 12:48:05 PM
Okay, for some reason it is impossible for me to repost in my gallery link...the page isn't loading and I keep trying, so I'll just post here instead to save my sanity!!!!

I received an awesome package from drinkdrankdrunk! Here are the amazing contents:

she sent me:

a flute, a hotters can cozy, handmade soap, a bracelet/ring, a double sward set, a shot glass, Birch (a seahorse made by drinkdrankdrunk to keep Hammy company), a library card for Hammy, a backpack, handmade bookmarks, four core value bracelets from the YMCA and some candy (which isn't pictured because my husband ate it already!.

Here is a close-up of Hammy. He arrived with a little pillow, a blanket, a sleeping mask and an outfit. He was very cozy in the box! Next to him is Birch, a seahorse drinkdrankdrunk made for him to have a friend for the trip back home.

Here is a close up of the bookmarks drinkdrankdrunk made:

Here is a close up of the scrapbook. She handpainted it and it is so nice!:

Here is one of my favorite pages (Hammy at a war re-creation fair!):

And my other favorite page, Hammy at the aquarium:

thank you so much drinkdrankdrunk for being such a great partner! it was such a fun experience!!! Hammy had a great time, too!

Galvin arrived yesterday and jumped out of his box with a cute suitcase (inside was a scarf, some summer reading, a blanket and some...protection!). He also arrived with candy which is not pictures because my husband horded it!

He then proceeded to try to get my husband to text his mom, drinkdrankdrunk, but he forgot the number!

he was so annoyed that he bit me on the nose!

but then it just turned out to be a love bite, so i forgave him. i decided at that point that it was time to put him to bed for the night!

Has anyone else's LV been acting weird? I think mine is nervous.

First, Hammy tried to pack a suitcase that was WAY too big!

When I told him he didn't need that much stuff, he pouted and started to pig out on all the leftover Easter candy we have.

If he keeps this up, I'll need to get a bigger box to send him in!

7  Felt Letter Name Book (lots of pictures!) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by marylini on: April 14, 2008 05:50:55 PM
I made this book for a special baby named August. I was inspired by a lot of these books on craftster, but used the binding tutorial from this lovely project: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=211040.20

I sewed the whole thing by hand because I wasn't used to using felt on my machine, but I really like the homemade look it has. Since the pages include sewed-on buttons, I did tell the mom to only use the book together with the baby for safety (I've read these warnings on other posts).

Sorry my pictures aren't better...
