All by hand?  That is a true heirloom, great job.

23  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: The Coffee Filter Rose Tutorial on: June 03, 2009 07:55:48 PM
Neat;  my momma used to make these out of creap paper and dip them into melted parafin was, when I was a child.

Thanks a lot, I've been looking for instructions for making the circular ruffles for a few weeks now.

I love the fabric;  the pics don't do it justice.
Great job!
26  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Thrifted & tiedied lace tablecloth = new bell sleeved empire waist dress! W/Tute on: March 24, 2009 08:55:35 AM
I love this idea;  the design on the tablecloth made an interesting focal pt. on the bodice.  One of the best ideas I've seen in some time.  You rock!
27  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: My Fridge Spice Rack!! on: February 02, 2009 06:00:04 AM
Great idea!

If your concerned with possible aluminum contact with spices.  I would suggest that the  stainless Steele ones linked in the above post may be a better choice for storing food products.

Oh wow!  CC;  that is a major change.
The room looks much larger and more inviting this way.
The ottomans look great too;  it's amazing how simple things can make such a difference.
Can't wait to see it up close.

Beautiful job!
No one would ever guess that it's your first project.
The fabric and the workmanship are both great.

30  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: My first princess-cut dress: Simplicity 3527-pic heavy on: October 09, 2008 05:56:45 AM
Celticchrys;  this dress looks so cute on you.  A princess style pattern is always flattering on a curvy shape, it was made for our body type.
Believe me it gets easier and like another poster said;  continue to tweak the pattern.  In my 20's I used two simple dress patterns as a basis for various styles of clothing.  The more you use them the easier it gets.Smiley
