1  Re: character apartment makeover! ***Lots of pics!*** in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by MorganMay on: December 11, 2010 09:35:06 PM
We moved into the most amazing 1200 square foot heritage apartment (10 foot ceilings! agh!!) in Vancouver, and decorating it has been my DREAM!!

The loving room was Green before, which was okay, but not neutral enough for my endless changing out of things and furniture!

Very nice;  the gray lends a touch of elegance.
I chose a grey for the walls!

I bought some tree vinyl wall decals for the big living room wall, and I was super happy how they turned out!

The kitchen before was a glossy "mental asylum butter yellow" and it never felt clean to me for some reason:

SO I painted the room a neutral taupe-grey (yeah I tend to lean towards greys!) IMMEDIATELY the built in china cabinet looked cleaner and now it feels much nicer to bake in..

I love this place! I am having way too much fun with it. Smiley I will post my other rooms and projects later on!

2  Headboard project (pics) in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by MorganMay on: December 09, 2010 01:48:05 PM
Completed headboard project. I have been planning this project for a long time, since my select comfort bed had no headboard and I had not found one I wanted to buy. This was done over Thanksgiving break with lots of help from my daughter , celticchrys!

fabric I used was an old comforter!

Thanks for checking it out!

3  Reconstructed lounge dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by MorganMay on: April 20, 2010 09:08:41 AM
I used the bottom portion of an old gown for the skirt and a cut off pink tee for the bodice.  I cut the ribbing off the arms and neck of the tee, used scraps of print fabric to add bands on the arms.  Using scrap from the print garment I cut a circle to make the 3" ruffle  and added to the  v shape neck.

Great for lounging around the house or sleeping.

4  Easy Pot Rack in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by MorganMay on: April 20, 2010 08:50:38 AM
This is an easy pot rack made from an extra closet pole that was laying around the house and some S hooks courtesy of the hubby.  Simply attach to the top of the cabinets with  screws, add your hooks and your in business.
