made for a swap, and I have that mirror charm double, and for the life of it, i cannot find it. LOL

Hair clip.

Brooch. Look, it has a dew on it!

key choker ontop of a pleather note book. (also hand made)

This is a plastic mouse, that is about 1 cm tall, and has a flat bottom.
I really don't know what they are meant for, but I really wanted to use one for a necklace, and since our trimmel doesn't work, I got creative.

Masking tape.

Not as clean as I wanted it to be, but the best i could do with the time and the machines I had.

Bottom back side. strings to make it looks steampunky.
I hope to get some pics, of them wearing it for my site.

25  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Singer SewQuick handheld sewing machine on: March 08, 2010 12:14:01 PM
Hey guys,
I bought a little 15$ Singer handheld sewing machine a few weeks back, because we just moved over the ocean and I couldn't afford a new sewing machine (220 to 110 volt LOL)

So, I haven't had any problems with it sewing my craft swaps, till down to the last line it started moving really slow, and then fast again. So I changed the needle, and with the next few stitches the needle broke.. I just took the screws out to clean it, but the machine doesn't come apart. The batteries still work, and I haven't messed with any of the settings.

Any help? I might just go ahead and by another..LOL maybe saturday I'll get a real one, but I need 2 things for that saturday party LOL.

Thanks.
26  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Pink walls in small room? on: November 12, 2009 08:52:40 AM
Heyo everyone,
We have a house now, well the last thing needs to be signed on the 19th, then it is ours. We got to measure the rooms last night, so here is my concern, and I was hoping to get some color advice.

The room is 11 1/2 by 13, and I want black furniture. No way around that. LOL.
So I wanted pink walls with a black/white or graphite/cream vertical stripped chairline. The ceiling ( <- did I spell that right?) is white, and has a tile design, so it isn't solid. The carpet is a cream, soft beige. I tried to take pictures last night, but it was sun set and we needed lights, so the carpet looks brown in the pictures.
I have made some designs and printed them out to look at.

I am thinking that the stripes won't work or well will be wasted because of the furniture covering it up. I was thinking hot pink/'very berry' and 'a pot of cream' to give it a soft but bright candy feel.

The little scribbles is suppose to be the window, and the other little squares are the pictures I want to hang up.

Will the pink on top make the room look smaller?

I have never decorated a room from the beginning, like really be fully in charge and knowing what I want. Any help is super apreciated!
27  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Doesn't pick up bottom threat, won't stich either on: September 04, 2009 04:41:59 AM
I use a E&R classic, with currently a new all purpose needle, and right now a 100% polyester thread. (I normally use the all purpose thread, but we moved, and I right now live out of my suitcase at my boyfriends LOL)

The problem:
Last time, I sewed a stretch fabric, and forgot to replace the needle with a stretch needle, it blocked and I had to stop.
Now it doesn't stitch (on any fabric). It moves but the thread won't stay in the fabric.
So I re-threated everything, and now the bottom thread won't get picked up by the top one. The bottom thread doesn't even wiggle.

I looked if I could see if a needle part or some fabric is stuck in the bobbin, but nothing is to be found. I also checked if the needle was sideways, backways or if I am on the wrong setting.

I think I'll try to take it apart and clean it, as I have never done it before. With my luck, I'll have everything together and find one tiny screw still laying on the table.

Any help is apreciated. Thanks in advance.
Edit:
Just cleaned the bobbin area, and still nothing works  Cry
28  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / My first Journal. Grey and Pink. on: July 25, 2009 04:31:06 AM
This was so much fun! I can't wait til were set in texas and I can do more!
I painted the stripes, and I wanted to put a lock on it, but decided to keep the look for a more cleaner looking book.
My cardboard cutting was so bad, I just decided to make it look vintage LOL

^ my friend demanded I'd show it to her. LOL

CC is welcome!

I've been here for a while, but I am first now, coming out of my comfort zone and exploring the board. LOL

I'm Alexandra, liked being called Alex or LA, 23, I currently live in Germany Rheinland pfalz, but we're moving to texas by september this year, sadly this means I can't really take part in any swap atm.

I like Emilie Autumn, Michael Turner, Vecona, Viona, Jo Chen, HIM, Victorian, Steampunk, Fairies, Pirates, Witches, stripes.
I like drawing, painting, crafting hair clips, purses, altering clothes, making halloween costumes, and trying new things.

I would love to start talking more to people, who sew and do art. I have met a lot of great people here and I am looking forward to meet more!

30  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Bottle Cap Hair Clip on: March 07, 2009 02:59:04 AM

I had this smirnoff Bottle lid laying around and I loved the color so much, I realized after staring it down I had the perfect matching feathers!
Still have a green one...but no ideas for it.

Here are some Skull clips I have made that day too.

The orange ones are a surprise gift for an online friend, we've been talking forever, and I sometimes send her american magazines.
And the black ones were requested.

I guess Hair accesoiries go under jewelry? LOL
Enjoy!
