I think the "mesh" stuff you're talking about is just chiffon. You can get it at any fabric store for around $7/yard, it's usually with the formal fabrics.

Just wanted to let you know you should post questions like this in the "Discutions" part of the Purses section of this board. And, to make you're bag sturdier add lining and interfacing. Make sure you always use lining and interfacing with your purses.

Burda is a German company but in America it's manufactured by an American pattern company. I think by Simplicity, not too sure. Anyway, the pattern instructions are in English... don't worry.

Add a snap to the inside. Actually, you could add a button or ties if you want but I like snaps a lot better.

I have this vinyl purse I really like but it's very plain. I wanted to stencil a skull and crossbones onto it but I know nothing about stenciling. I know freezer paper is useful but if I iron it onto the vinyl, will the vinyl melt? Also, what kind of paint should I use? I'm going to be painting black onto red, if that matters. Thanks everyone.
