This is the blue velvet shirt that I started with. It was mine, I got lots of use out of it in college, but it was just collecting dust in my closet, so I figured it needed a new life.

This is the yellow bridesmaid dress (I'm on the right) also hanging (really it was on the floor) in my closet getting no use. We all know I wasn't going to wear it again, so it was going to get a new life also.

The only additions were a remnant of red faux suede fabric that calicokitty gave me for the tear drop shapes in the sleeves (which were TEDIOUS btw--I've never done so much pining!) and the bow. I also used an old blue dress shirt of mine for the lining of the sleeves.
Using the Simplicity 9384 Snow White pattern, here is DD dressed as a beautiful, Snow White.

Not too bad, eh?
Why so early for Halloween, you might ask? I made it for the princess birthday party calicokitty had for her oldest DD just yesterday. It turned out so well, DD will wear it for the Fall Harvest party (in lieu of Halloween) at church.
This reconstruction project is sorta special to me because I was 6 weeks preggo with DD in the bridesmaid picture, and I wore the blue velvet top one last time to a wedding when I was about 5 months preggo with her. Just kinda of sentimental to me.
Thanks for letting me share!
