Everyone, this is A.J. He's really excited about this vacation!
When I sent in my questionnaire, I thought he was a girl frog. Oops. Roll Eyes

Steve is super cute! I like a boy who's not afraid to wear pink. Tongue Grin

I've been slacking on my picture taking! But I'm all caught up now. I received twice for this swap from the lovely MareMare and DeviSaya!

First, I received some yummy scented gifts from MareMare:

The soap and sachet are (heavenly) lavender scented, and there were two of the soaps. One is already in use! She also sent some pretty wool yarn, which I think I'll make some felted flowers with. And I had to show the card she sent--so cute! Grin  (This whole package smelled awesome!)  Thank you so much, MareMare!

Second, I received a Chococat, based on my love of Chococat and my wish of 'anything with my username on it' from DeviSaya:

Is he not the cutest stuffy?! I love him!!! She also sent some cute chocolate panda candies. Can't go wrong with chocolate! Cheesy  Thank you so much, DeviSaya!

Because I can't resist, here's Choco hanging out with friends!

4  Re: Fill-A-Box Round 8 - THE EPIC GALLERY! (USA Flat-Rate Box, Sendouts by 8/23) in The Swap Gallery by DIY ho on: August 22, 2008 05:15:42 PM
I received a little while ago, from the wonderfully patient coccyx, but I've been slacking in taking/editing and posting pics! Roll Eyes

So here we go! Be prepared to wonder how the HELL she got all this in this box! I tried to put everything back (until I could get around to putting everything away) and couldn't manage it! Shocked

First off, the yummy yarn! SEVEN skeins?! Amazing...

A group shot of some great stickers, scrapbooking/card making supplies, erasers for making stamps with an exacto knife and new blade, a pair of knitting needles, a bunch of crochet hooks, some mints, aaand finally a pouch to hold some of my new stuff!

Wait, there's more! This is a group shot of three lovely gift boxes of goodies and doodads. I should've gotten a shot of the lids, too. They're pretty! Lots of buttons, beads, some ribbon, etc.

These are closeups of some of my favorite things that were in the little boxes... (clickable)

In the first thumbnail, there are sliding mint tins and a really pretty notepad. The second, some typewriter beads (yay!) and possibly my very fave thing, a faux battery. I love secret compartment things, and this is wonderful! In the third thumbnail, my fave button, a cupcake! And finally, MORE typewriter key buttons, a casino chip, a flip flop button, and a mermaid. Whee!

Thank you so much, coccyx!!! I still can't believe you actually managed to pack all this in that box! Cheesy

6  Another bean mosaic; for my kitchen this time! in Completed Projects by DIY ho on: July 21, 2008 10:11:45 PM
Back in April I entered this bean mosaic in the Craftster Challenge 26, a dollar store challenge. I was fairly happy with it, since it was my first try at this, but I wanted to give it another go. Using the same beans as before (navy beans, black beans, and split peas) with the addition of unpopped corn kernals, I made this...

Sorry for the blurry pic; I'll take a better shot in daylight tomorrow.

This frame is 4x6", also found at the local dollar store.

I didn't intend for the yellow and green bits to look like flowers, but that's okay. I took progress shots in case anyone's interested. Thanks for looking! Comments appreciated. Smiley

Here it is! Or was... Cheesy  I let my brother-in-law take home what little was left.
Not the best pic ever, but my SD chip is messed up or something. Undecided

I figured I'd just keep adding pics here. Wink  Hope no one minds...

Another flower pic. I think it's a breed of rose, but I'm not positive.

See it full size.

A boardwalk in the gardens.

Spanish moss and sky. This used to be my desktop wallpaper! Smiley
I may have adjusted brightness/saturation on this one, I can't remember.

See it full size.

My in-law's wisteria.

See it eat you alive! Just kidding! I wanted to see if you were paying attention. Wink Grin
I wish I'd gotten some macro shots of it! This was taken in 2007.

Of course, comments and crits are encouraged!

With the macro challenge on, I thought I'd post a few more of my fave pics that aren't entered. Wink  Unless I say otherwise, no retouching has been done, only cropping.

A camellia in a local garden/park, taken last spring.

I really like the lens flare I got here! Grin

From the same garden/park as the camellia above.

This is an iris on my lawn. Smiley

And just for fun... photoshopped muffins! Cheesy

10  Macro Photo Challenge: "Go Away!" in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by DIY ho on: April 21, 2008 04:37:44 PM
I knew I wanted to enter this challenge as soon as I heard of it. I have a great macro of a flower, but I wanted something a little different for this...

So I give you my fuzzball, Sebastian, saying, "Go away!" Smiley

You can even see the freckle on his nose! Oh, and that's his paw across his head. (My man thought it was his tail.)
