8  chandilier shirt-- first embroder!-- in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by adiemonster on: July 22, 2008 12:02:24 PM
i made this last night while watching "ferris buliers day off".

i had no idea what i was doing. this is from the craft pad, but i bought the begginers kit about 2 -3 days ago. but when i went to the book store i saw it on sale. i was so ancious i pulled out the existing emboidery hoop and thread and just went to town! i am so proud of it. i have no idea what the stitchs i used, but i did manege to do one french knot ( my mom showed me) the rest were all failers. with out futher ado i give you....

her is a close up!

i was surprised the shirt din't get a run in it as i didn't use any t-shirt stabilizer. i stitched on to a garge cotton/ spandex tank. it was a liitle dificult, but once i got the hang of it , it wasn't to bad.

10  Re: my 1st self portrait. in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by adiemonster on: May 31, 2008 02:16:18 PM
as good as it looks, ilovemybrachiosaurus  is right the picture should look something like this when you sketch it.

the first live should be the eyes
then split that in half for your nose then
that in half for the mouth.

also when drawing your actual face shape don't be fussy with the size or semitary ( i think thats the word) of it. when you are finishing it you always pencil in your cheek bones and what not.

when i first saw the picture it reminded me of the beatles music videos. i really like it coulors of the shading, good job over all.
