1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Jello Hair Dye on: February 05, 2008 09:52:14 PM
Hi! I'm looking to dye my hair pink using sugar free Jello. No bleach. I poked around the web and I found two different methods - one using two packets jello and one dollop conditioner and then rubbing in your hair and leaving, and the other boiling/heating jello in half the recommended amount of water and then dipping your hair in. I was wondering if anyone could contrast the two methods for me.

Notes:
My hair is light brown.
I will not be bleaching my hair.
My hair tends to be dry.
My hair takes colour well.

Also, I heard that I should put vaseline around my hair line to keep the colour from dyeing my skin, will this make me break out?  Should I wash my hair with shampoo before dyeing, or should I apply the dye dry? How do I keep the colour from staining my skin when I rinse?

Thank you very much for your help!
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Paint on pants on: September 01, 2007 05:18:29 PM
While painting I got craft paint all over my jean pants, and it looks pretty! Does anyone know how I can set it so the paint doesn't wash off?
The paint is Apple Barrel acrylic paint, and I have already let my jeans dry extensively.

I posted this on the Clothing - help board and was directed here.
