I received two awesome sets of blocks!!! YAY!  I'm horribly sick so I'll be offline until the weekend unless things turn around here... but I'm so excited!

On a less enthusiastic note, I'm going to have to re-do my wonky stars... I've realized there were some errant cotton/poly blends that stuck into my stack of whites (and I was so careful to check the colors... which is usually where the sneaky ones live!).. so back to square one this weekend...so glad there is a generous crafting time!

Oh, please don't feel like you have to redo them!  It is up to you if you feel you want to make new ones, just know it is not an issue for me. Smiley
Hope you feel better soon!

I reposted better pics of the blocks I made for sloth.  Now you can see them better.  I hope you like them. Smiley

ETA: Tip for making these blocks

I know most, if not all of you, have made sloth's blocks, but I wanted to share a tip in case you are wanting to make more of this block in the future.
When I made my first block, it was perfectly square until I trimmed off the corners and added the white ones.  It is now off a couple hairs (I have decided to let it go since you mentioned in your tutorial not to worry if the blocks are a little off Smiley ).
I wanted the next 2 to come out better, so instead of cutting off the corners and then sewing on the white triangles, I decided to leave the block whole and just mark where I would have cut off the corners.  Then I lined up my white triangles with the marked line and sewed them on.  This way when I ironed the white triangle out I knew if it lined up or not with the original corners (assuming the original was square Smiley ).  After making sure it was how I wanted, I went back and trimmed off the original corners.  I was much happier with how this worked out and I felt the block was more stable as I was sewing.

I hope that makes sense and that it helps anyone who decides to make this block. Smiley

Just added a pic of one of amnesia's variable star blocks.
Only 4 more blocks to make and then I can get everything ready to mail.
Having lots of fun digging through my fabric (found some scraps/pieces that I forgot I had  Smiley) and sewing these blocks.

Just posted sloth's blocks. Sorry it is not the best pic, I used my hubby's iPad which I am not used to (I think they look better in real life). Smiley
Anyway, hope you like them.

Carolmb, I just saw my wonky stars. They are so cute, thank you!  Smiley

I can't remember if I posted this or not, so just in case.  Grin
Amnesia, I really like the scrappy, wonky stars. It will be fun to see how the whole thing comes together.

carolmb ~ I just posted the first block I made for you.  I wanted to see if that gray is too dark.  In the second picture I covered the corner with the gray that I will be using for your other 2 blocks, but I didn't have enough for a third block which is why I used the darker gray.  Anyway, let me know if you don't like it and I will make a new one.
Also, is the purple ok?
I am going to a quilt shop out of town tomorrow, so I can look for some other fabric if needed.
Thanks!

I posted the first block I made for Colorado Deb.  I am not completely happy with it as far as the fabrics go.  I haven't decided how I want to proceed with the other 2, so I am setting them aside for now.

Only 11 more blocks to go. Smiley

I love it!  I saw your post and can not log in at work and it's been killing me to see it, I think it looks great.  Smiley

Oh, good! Smiley

I couldn't stop thinking of the block, so I just finished the other 2.  It was a fun block to make and I didn't have any trouble with it.  You'll end up with a fun quilt!
