21  Re: Fabric Basket Swap GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by Deece in MN on: March 07, 2012 01:58:04 PM
Here are the goodies I received from ckchan.

The basket is so great (my 3 favorite colors Smiley )!

Then there is a cute pincushion made from a little clay pot.  Stickers!  I love stickers and ckchan made them all in a crafty theme.  Can't wait to start putting them on stuff!

This is everything together.  She also sent me a couple puzzle books.  I love these things!  My husband and daughter have already tried taking them. Smiley

Thanks, ckchan!  Great swap. Smiley

Here is my mug rug from Rodelphia.
It has been put to use already and I love it!
Thank you!

Great swap!  Now I will have a nice collection of mug rugs for myself and my family to use with an extra or two for company. Smiley

24  Re: Craft This Tote Round 2! - Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Deece in MN on: February 04, 2012 05:34:39 AM
I received my package of goodies yesterday from Koreena.  Such an amazing package!

First, the bag.  Love it!  The personalization on the pocket is great (love that you used my nickname!).  Even my son said it was "pretty cool". Smiley

Then there is a zippered pouch.  Love the buttons and the dimensional flower.  Very cute!

Then there are two necklaces with two of my favorite themes (not sure if I even mentioned these themes Smiley ).  I love anything with words/writing and I have had a thing for trees lately.  These are great and I can't wait to wear them.

Then there is the most awesome scarf ever!  I put it on and saw the buttons and thought "oh, how cute there are some buttons".  Duh, on closer look, they are the eyes of an owl!  I love this scarf and it goes perfectly with my coat and gloves.  Best of all, I needed a new scarf!

I also received a little clip-on cozy from the university where Koreena works (correct me if I am wrong on that Smiley ).
I love receiving local items like that, especially from other countries.  I didn't post a pic because it had specific location information and I wasn't sure of comfort levels with posting that kind of thing.

Thank you, Koreena!  This was a great swap!

25  wall art I made for a swap in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Deece in MN on: August 17, 2011 09:23:31 AM
I wasn't really sure where this should go, but since it was meant to be an art piece for the wall I decided to post it here. Smiley

I made this for my partner in the Make-a-Friend swap.  I saw this on a blog and thought it was neat.

It is paper wrapped wire that I shaped into the first initial of my partner's name.  Then I wrapped the wire in fabric and added items that relate to things she likes.  There is a teapot and cup at the top, cupcake in the center and sewing machine and thread at the bottom.

It was a fun project and I plan to take it a little further.  I want to shape some words to hang on the walls of our new house.  It will be a little while before I get to making them though as we won't be moving for about a month.

Anyway, here it is:

Thanks for looking. Smiley

26  quilt I made for a swap in Quilting: Completed Projects by Deece in MN on: August 17, 2011 09:08:55 AM
Since my partner has received this, I thought I would post it here to share.

I made this quilt for the Make-a-Friend swap.

The pictures aren't the best.  The backing fabric looks like tweed and coordinates with the front better than it looks like it does in the pictures.

Close-up of the print fabric:

Thanks for looking. Smiley

Package #3

I received package #3 from craftycakelady.  Awesome stuff!
I love tea, so she sent me a tea themed package.

There is a can of chai which I love!  Tea Time magazine which I have not seen before.  Some new teas and a hand painted and decorated tea box.

This is the same tea box, but with the lid open.  There is also a piece of beautiful orange batik!  And a pack of note pads and pen.

Last, but certainly not least...

A box of homemade goodies!!  These are so yummy!!!

Thank you craftycakelady!  I have been enjoying my tea and your wonderful treats! Smiley

Finally able to post some pics of the package I received from Milady.

Two of the items were made for her original partner and one was made for me.

This bag was made for her original partner, but it could have been made for me. Smiley  I love it!!  I have been carrying it around for days now.  I love the color and the design.  It is an awesome bag!

The piano key bag was made for her original partner.  My daughter has taken possession of it; she loves it!  She carries her current embroidery project in it.
The apple cozy was made for me.  I love it!  I have used it to carry nectarines to work as well as apples.  It is so cute!

There was also some candy and a map of London which I requested.  I was having trouble getting the picture of these things to load.  Sorry.

Thank you so much Milady!  Your workmanship is incredible!!  I love everything. Smiley

Package #2

I received from craftycakelady.  Another great package!

Dish mats; love these!  I have seen them and wanted to make some and now I don't have to!  I love when I receive items that are on my list of things to make. Smiley

Knitting kit; includes a project bag (love the fabric), circular needles and yarn.

Finally, a purse organizer (love this fabric, too!), embroidery floss organizer, origami paper.

Thank you for the great package.  Love it all!

Package #1

I finally have a few minutes to post pics of what I received from craftycakelady.  Yay! Smiley

Something made of paper: handmade notecards; love them!
Things kept in a purse: dental floss (have made use of this already Smiley ), mints and notepad (this also was part of #27 - organization)
Favorite craft supply: fat quarters!  I can never have too many of these! Smiley

Non-craft hobby: bookmark; the flowers are beautiful!
Reflects style: mug rug; I love these fabrics!  I will use this when enjoying my morning tea or coffee.
Something edible: cookies; I love shortbread cookies!  I am eating them as I type this. Smiley
Freebie: tea wallet; this will be handy as I love tea.

Summer essential: cookie cutters; I thought this was very creative!  I love baking cookies so these will come in handy.
Kitchen staple: apron;  I love the size of this apron!  It will help me stay clean in the kitchen. Smiley

There was also a seam ripper that was for the craft essential category.  I didn't get a picture of it as I had to put it to use right away and forgot to get it in the pics. Smiley

Thank you craftycakelady!  I enjoyed this round and can't wait for the others.
