1  Re: Weekend Trick or Treat Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Deece in MN on: October 09, 2013 05:06:47 PM
I received from kbrison today and what an awesome package to open.

The trick or treat bag is so cool! It has a pieced star on one side and she quilted the best spider web on the other side. Love it!
She also sent a couple books. I don't have these so they will be a great addition to my library.

This pic shows everything together and is the best pic of the bunting. I love it and have the perfect place to hang it.

She made a variety of great paper crafts: bookmarks with quotes from The Raven and The Tell Tale Heart, a selection of cards with Halloween and Fall images (the one on the far left is my favorite by just a hair Smiley) and a neat circle shaped notebook. Then there is some yummy candy (love chocolate and caramel) that I have been munching on already.

Thank you, Kathy! I love everything!

I had to wait until today to take pics so I had better light (still not the best pics though, sorry).
I received from beeker and she made me some awesome potion bottles. I have been wanting a potion bottle collection and she delivered.  Smiley
The labels are all hand drawn, just amazing! I wish my pics were better to show them off.
Here they are:

Some of the bottles have labels on the front and back and the jars are filled with goodies.

Thank you so much beeker! I love them!

I received from Leslieshappyheart today. I am so glad the package arrived a day early as I am leaving in the morning and won't be back until Sunday night.

I received this great bag. You can see I have already put my stuff in it so I can use it this weekend.  Smiley

Then I also received an awesome sewing machine cover. It is great because it ties on the sides so I can use it with any of my machines. Love it!

Thank you, Leslie!
This has been a great swap. Everyone has been making and receiving wonderful stuff!

Package 2 received from Leslie. I LOVE it!  Grin
We have such similar taste and she crafts with so much skill that I am in awe and in love with everything she does.

She chose "add to your stash".  There are 3 pieces of fabric; 1 was on my Pinterest, one is Alice in Wonderland (which I love), and the 3rd is a cute check. She included orange buttons and bakers twine. I have just recently found bakers twine and it is my new favorite embellishment. The pin cushion is an extra and it is so awesome; a little orange strawberry.

She also chose "medium based on Pinterest/Wist".  This pillow is amazing! So many fun, bright fabrics and I love how the color radiates out from the yellow in the corner. This will find a home in my camper when I am done glamming it up. For now I am enjoying it on my couch; it is like a little bit of sunshine.  Smiley

Thank you, Leslie!
I ran a little behind today, so your package will go out first thing tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

I just got home from being away for 6 days and had the best package waiting for me!

Leslie and I have a lot in common. She put together a wonderful package and here it is all together.

Here are some more specific pictures:
These are her favorite snacks and favorite craft supply. I love these scissors! This is my favorite size and I can always use another pair. The snacks look delicious. I think I will take them to work so I have something good to eat there when I get the munchies. Smiley

The crafted items are an adorable altered matchbox with a cute heart inside and a pincushion with a hard plastic card in the bottom to keep the pins from poking through.  I love the stitching on them both.

Her hobbies are reading and fitness. There is a cute patchwork bookmark and a pouch to hold an iPod. This will come in handy as I am going to be getting an iPhone the end of the month and it should fit in the pouch nicely.

For closer to home she made the cutest scissor fob with a kitty to represent her kitties. The stitching is so perfect! She also sent a kit of her Hope Hearts. She sends this kit to anyone who requests it through her blog. These are representative of her because they are hearts  Smiley and she likes doing things that help others with her crafting. They are so nice and how thoughtful to give to someone who is going through a rough time.

She tied everything up nicely with bakers twine, so now I have a little stash of fun twine.  Smiley
Thank you so much, Leslie, for everything! I can't wait to get started on your next package.

6  Re: Morsbag Round 2 Swap--GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by Deece in MN on: June 16, 2013 06:54:51 AM
I received from rscowtown and this package couldn't have been better!

The bag has books all over it which I love. So cute and perfect for bringing my stuff to book club!

The first round of extras are some great crocheted goodies. There are some pot scrubbers that will come in handy, cute orange coasters (we use coasters all the time and I can never have enough), and a cotton drawstring bag with little face scrubbies that I can't wait to use.

The second round of goodies has a little drawstring bag with pockets (this will be perfect to carry my handwork projects) and an insulated lunch bag. I love that it is tall so I can fit my water bottle in it and, of course, I LOVE the color. Smiley

Thank you so much for everything. I love it all!

Here are all my blocks together. I love how bright and colorful they are!
Still considering how I want to put them together and if I want to make some more blocks so I have a bigger quilt.

I received my quilt from danynn and it could not be more perfect!!
One of my themes was journeys/quests based on The Hobbit or LOTR.
Danynn chose that theme for her inspiration and this is what she made for me.

The whole thing is just wonderful; I love it so much!!
Thank you, danynn. Smiley
