Thanks! I whiped up another one the other day. My male horse was mad at me for a few days, I think,  Wink but I just bought a second horse, a mare, so he's off the hook wearing pink, at least.  Grin

I just made a big batch of these over the weekend.

I ran out of snaps so I did try velcro on the flaps- and it isn't bothering me one bit. I used really really narrow strips of hook and loop though- like maybe 1/3 inch.

Also, I found the best way to get a well fitting cloth pad is to make the pattern using your favorite disposable pad as a pattern, and adding wings if needed.

I made Annie a thermal shirt! She likes to layer it under her hooded sweatshirt.  Grin

Anyway, I just used an old navy thermal shirt that I don't wear anymore, shortened the sleeves, and sewed a seam so the front panel of the shirt was about half as wide, took up the shoulders (ended up being sort of a "Y" shaped seam on the underside) and that was about it.

She really likes it! I put it on her to try it on night and she started doing zoomies!! I couldn't get it off her so I just let her wear it to agility class. (I made her take it off after we got there though  )

After breaking three so-called heavy duty sewing machines in the space of about six months I decided to spring for an industrial machine. I'm just so proud her her I could burst! Here she is:

I'm turning my study into a guest bedroom and needed short curtains to I could put a bed right next to them without making them fall weird. I'd never made curtains before but I just whipped these up with a vintage double sheet.


As I was trying to figure out what to do with the scraps- I realized that, with some tweaking, they would make a slipcover for the bed's headboard:

I totally cheated- but LOVE the effect- it only took about 30 minutes, too. It's on the end of a loong skinny scarf and attracts lots of comments.

I did not make these mittens, but I think they are the coolest thing ever. I bought them on eBay a few years ago... I posted them here for inspiration- for if any of your were to make your own version of Moe and Curly it would make me a very, very happy girl to know there were more of their kind in the world.

What a cool program! I hope they have really good luck with it. Airedale rescue raised $15,500 last year by raffling off this quilt: isn't it breathtaking?
