1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Simple High Waisted Skirt + tutorial link on: August 03, 2012 11:48:36 AM

Ive been wanting to make more of my own clothes so Ive been trying to think of things that will be fairly simple to make but still cute and fashionable! A simple pull on skirt is about as easy as it gets! I found this fabric in the remnants bin at Joann's so I think it cost me about $5 to make this skirt and took less than an hour! awesome!

I posted a tutorial on my blog if you're interested in how to make one: http://www.gleefulthings.com/blog/?p=4614

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Beaded Skull Wrap Bracelets + Tutorial link on: July 25, 2012 11:14:57 AM

Ive been eyeing these skull beads on Etsy forever now! I finally picked up some and put together this wrap style bracelet using some basic supplies that I already had. It's really simple, just lots of knots to tie. But I put a tutorial up on my blog if anyone is interested Smiley

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Dainty Metal Beaded Bracelets + tutorial link on: July 19, 2012 11:46:43 AM

I've been making lots of these little bracelets lately. They're so quick and easy. I love to stack them with all of my other types of bracelets too. I've been loving metals with the colorful cords I bought. So far I've only used gunmetal but I want to buy some little gold beads too.

They're super simple but I made a tutorial anyway in case anyone is interested: http://www.gleefulthings.com/blog/?p=4554

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Goddess Barefoot Sandals (+ pattern link) on: June 06, 2012 10:38:35 AM
I've been making so many barefoot sandals lately! They might be my favorite accessory for summer! I've designed 4 different styles so far. I've never taken so many pictures of my feet before, haha! Anyway, I wanted to share one of my designs!

I posted the pattern on my blog if you'd like to make some: http://www.gleefulthings.com/blog/?p=4186

They're made with embroidery floss and a C hook. The red ones have beads but it's a little hard to tell in the pics.

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Plant hangers made from fabric strips + Tutorial link on: May 02, 2012 11:04:32 AM
I saw some pretty macrame plant hangers on Etsy and was inspired to try making my own. I was being thrifty though and since I didnt have any hemp cord and didnt wanna buy any, I got the idea to make one out of fabric strips instead! Its a fun way to destash some fabric (Ive had this fabric forever and couldnt figure out what to do with it!) and make something pretty for your yard or porch!

I posted a tutorial on my blog if you'd like to make one Smiley http://www.gleefulthings.com/blog/?p=3940

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Crochet Project Bag + Pattern / Tutorial Link on: April 12, 2012 04:41:08 PM

Lately I feel like Im always toting around a plastic shopping bag full of yarn whenever I want to take my crochet project somewhere with me. So I thought it would be nice to make something a little less ghetto to carry my projects around in! It was really quick and easy to make and I like it a lot more than a plastic bag! Tongue

It can hold 2-3 balls of yarn + hooks, scissors, pattern, etc. I gave it a square bottom so it can sit flat. Nothing fancy, just a nifty little bag that could be used for so many things really!

If you'd like to make one, I posted a pattern / tutorial on my blog: http://www.gleefulthings.com/blog/?p=3856

I found the cute mushroom fabric at Joann's a while back. I think I have enough left to make a matching hook wallet! Cheesy

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Thumbless Mittens + Pattern Link on: April 01, 2012 11:51:41 AM
I normally design hat patterns but Ive been wanting to make something other than a hat so this is what I came up with! Mittens! Not just any ol mittens though. I wanted to keep the pattern really beginner friendly so I left out the thumbs (thumbs are hard!). So there you have it! Thumbless mittens! Theyre like socks for your hands and oh so cozy!

I posted the pattern on my blog: http://www.gleefulthings.com/blog/?p=3608

8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Snowflake Luminaries made from jars on: January 19, 2012 03:43:45 PM
I hope this is the right section for this! I couldn't decide! I made a luminarie using an old jar, some tissue paper, and mod podge! There's glitter around the rim and on the snowflakes to make it a little prettier when it's not lit! Smiley

I hope you like! Smiley

I made some others for Halloween and made a tutorial for them (http://www.gleefulthings.com/blog/?p=2668). This one is pretty much the same except I painted the snowflakes white (explained here: http://www.gleefulthings.com/blog/?p=3495).
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Waffle Cone Slouchy Hat + Pattern link on: November 28, 2011 04:59:38 PM
I had a few skeins of Lion Brand Hometown USA yarn sitting around and I really wanted to make a hat with it. I've seen several beanie type hats made with it but never a slouchy, which is pretty much all I wear! So I was determined to design a slouchy hat pattern that would use only one skein! This is what I came up with and I love it so! Cheesy

I shared the pattern on my blog in case you'd like to make one! http://www.gleefulthings.com/blog/?p=3258. Let me know what you think! Smiley

10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Halloween Bat Plushies + pattern link on: October 05, 2011 12:04:05 PM
I made these bats based on a bunny pattern that I designed for Easter (just copied the face, mainly). I've made three of them so far and I'm tempted to keep making more because they're surprisingly quick to make! But I keep telling myself that I don't really need a bunch of plushies lying around! Tongue

I think the black one above is my favorite!

I hope you like them! Smiley If you want to make one of your own, I posted the pattern and a tutorial on my blog: http://www.gleefulthings.com/blog/?p=2816

Seeing them wrapped up in their wings like this is my favorite! Smiley
