31  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: from 2006 les paul to retro rockin' rockabilly guitar! (pic heavy) on: June 24, 2008 11:10:00 PM
jadegreen: haha you better not do it Wink his les paul is probably more expensive then mine (they can get up to a few grands), and without proper knowledge of how an electric guitar works and is put together, there's a big chance it might never work again  Tongue

Yes I would never do it to his as it is a limited edition les paul and worth probably more than his love for me haha. However putting it back together would be no probs as he is a big nerd and builds amps etc...he's pretty handy. I'm kind of tempted to attack my bass but it cost me a grand....hrmm. Maybe time to buy a cheap guitar purely for decorative purposes?

Also, I don't really think your devil looks like coops but that's just my oppinion.

Hold onto your hats ladies...I received from theartofmegan today (can't believe it arrived so quickly!) and I was super duper spoilt.

Here is everything all wrapped up in pretty paper.

And a group shot. (Including the cute little card that I didn't get a close up picture of. It says on the front "making cupcakes is like making magic, except you can't EAT magic!" how adorable)

All the little goodies she sent to make cupcakes with including different shaped colourful sprinkles, lavender sugar sprinkles (holy freakin' yum!) and a buttload of paper cuppie liners. Plus a fridge magnet notepad and some little baking related scrapbook decorations. When I finally get around to organising my recipe book I know where those are going!

OK onto crafted items. Here is the cutest bag ever for buying cupcakey items. There are actually TWO of these. yay!

Because I actually bake cupcakes a lot (I even have a cupcake blog haha, I'm a loser) she decided to make a whole bunch of matching textiles for me which is awesome because I'm super poor (that is what a baby will do to you) and don't have any of these things but totally need them....no I didn't even own pot holders.  Embarrassed Anyway, first up embellished towels .

And I saved my favorite for last. An under bust (or in my case under where-a-bust-should-be) reversable apron and pot holders. LOVE! I tried to take a photo of it on one way before I found a spot in the babies room to set up the auto timer on the camera. The second photo is of it on the other way and is more true to colour.

The fabric used on everything is so adorable. I think I might have to get a close up of it later. Thankyou so so so so much Megan! You are a wonderful partner. I actually feel kind of bad because I only sent crafted items and no bought ones due to my rather sad budget. Plus I also sewed you something but it's obvious your sewing skills far exceed my own. You spoiled me so very much I think I may have to send you a few more goodies when I have some more dollars.  Grin

These are so cute. Hopefully one day I will be good enough to make things as pretty as these. *Note to self - sew more.

This looks totally awesome. I love the way the wood looks all sanded back and the painting is really cool. Especially for freehand. I wish my partner would let me do something like this to his les paul but I really don't feel like getting murdered in a horrible horrible fashion so I probably shouldn't. Haha.

By the way does your les paul weigh a freakin' tonne? I can't play my partners becuase my back starts to hurt too quickly. I usually just use his kramer cause it's nice and light.

Wow, OK so I super badly want to join this swap but I just don't think I can afford to send another international package again. (last one was $27 eeek) PLEASE somebody from Australia join darnit! If not I guess I'll just have to craft myself a bunch of cute medical type stuff to get it out of my system haha. Is there anywhere I can put up a post asking for an aussie to join this so I have more of a chance or will the mods just remove it?
