I really like pantera. Don't hurt me and/or be offended. If it makes you feel any better I wasn't even alive before Powermetal was released...that is how much of a loser I am. Somehow I managed to fail maths in school but my brain chooses to retain this (pretty much) useless knowledge. *sigh*

if my tastes qualified, i'd be in. i'm really not sure though. one close high school friend was all about labelling every band into genres, another said it didn't matter, if you liked it it was good music. so i'm currently wikipediaing my favourite music.

it says dropkick murphys are Oi!, which is celtic punk. on the other hand, i got my shirt of them from hot topic, so maybe that's too mainstream?

manson is by far my most favourite and beloved music EVER. wikipedia says under the genre catagory "disputed", so that's no help whatsoever. and again, hot topic, so too mainstream? if we classify metal/punk as band shirts i am not allowed to wear to work (daycare), he definately qualifies.

dry kill logic is nu metal, metalcore, and rap metal. nekromantix and horrorpops are pop punk and psychobilly. dillinger escape plan is metalcore and mathcore. the transplants are rapcore/punk. murderdolls is horror punk and glam metal. and who the hell doesn't like mudvayne, slipknot and s.o.a.d?

so, this may sound bitchy, but i'm not trying to be, i genuinely want to know. is my music taste good enough for this? do i qualify?

Haha don't stress sweetie. If you are into metal/punk you qualify of course. I actually really love dropkick murphys, dillinger escape plan and horroorpops myself. When people join I will get them to list some of their favorite bands/genres etc and I'll pair up people accordingly. And hey, don't sweat it, I'm not a TOTAL music snob, I know you're not being bitchy.

That said I still so want a power metal fiend to join haha.

Really...nobody??

I knew I was an individual. 

Ok, so the other day I bought a laundry sharpie and decided to go to town on a few plain t's that my little mans auntie and uncle bought for him. They are a bit big on him as they are a size2 and he is really only in size1 shirts at the moment but they are too cute to not make him wear them now.

I basically just found pictures on google images that I liked for reference, sketched them out, traced them onto baking paper, flipped them over on top of the front of the t-shirt and rubbed over where the pencil was to transfer the image straight onto the front of the shirt. Then I drew over the top with the laundry marker, gave them a wash and hey presto! New clothes for the man that I don't hate. (Personally I am so sick of all the kids clothes in stores, the boys section just plain outright sucks.)

The only picture I didn't sketch out first is the pirate ship which is the same one I painted on the front of his cupboard. I just traced it straight from the cupboard. You can see it in an older post I did on my sons room if you like because I can't find the picture I used as a reference but for the others here is the...

There you have it. Not the most exciting thing in the world but I think it gives my little guy some much needed individuality. Personally I'd take a squid or a viking over a truck anyday! I will definitely be making plenty more of these.

Anyone be interested in this? I am a mean powermetal fan. Nothing gets my blood pumping like bands such as helloween, gamma ray, angra, blind guardian, dragonforce etc but I'm really into most kinds of metal and love good thrash/punk bands such as fuck on the beach, send more paramedics, sex positions, refused etc. I'm sure there has to be plenty more of you out there.

I've pretty much completed my second swap (just waiting for package to arrive) and was thinking if there are enough people interested I could try my hand at organising. Even if I don't have enough time to participate I would still love to see a gallery for this.

So how 'bout it? Are you a misanthropic soul who feels the impulse to spit in the general direction of HMV & Sanity (CD chain stores here in Australia, not sure what the equivilent is in other countries but you get the idea)? In my oppinion giggling at blood means there is something very right with you. But then again, I'm a gore-loving freak! 

I am evidently as agile as the undead.. Man, I suck with a sewing machine, but I managed to save the thing I was working on and it's fine sort of. But as it turns out the blue tracing paper stuff that my Mom had was evidently defective cause it's not washing out!! I don't know what to do!!!
