This is ever so lame compared to what all you amazing knitters manage to make on here but I thought I would post it in case there are some really super duper amateur knitters out there like me that can only knit a square/rectangle and feel like giving something apart from a scarf a go. haha.



So pretty much you just knit a big rectangle the size of a beanie doubled over and also enough for the little bits that fold up around the edge if you want that look. Then you just sew it together with a big "wool pin"?? or whatever they are called. Then tie knots over the corners so that you get the little ears and the "round" shape of the beanie. Then if you like sew through the little bits of wool to make the "tassle" like things and sew a little pattern on the front if you like.



I made one kind of like this for myself ages ago. No idea where it went though haha.

Here are a few things I made for my sons nursery.

First the mirror. This used to be bright yellow with red firetruck wood cutouts on the bottom. I took a hammer and chisel to the wood cutouts and then sanded it, and man oh man was that yellow paint thick. So much sanding for one very pregnant at the time woman.
I bought the wood letters and cutouts from Spotlight (australian craft supply store) and painted them. Painted the mirror blue and stuck them on. Easy peasy.



I just painted a couple of clipart photos I found on a google search onto a couple of canvases. They are both done with acrylic paint.




And now for my fav. I bought this cupboard off of ebay and then painted the doors and sealed them with high gloss clear spray.



I really need to get him a bookcase for all the things he is accumulating so I will probably paint that to the theme of the room. Thanks for looking!

I hope this is where to put this. She does sit around my house proudly. Anyway here she is! My mannequin. I really wish I had a "before" picture. She was dirty and cracked and ugly as all hell.

Anyway this is after a good cleaning in the bathtub, numerous coats of white paint and face detail. The hair i picked up from a toy store (reminds me of a cute Japanese cartoon, i love it!)


This is after I attacked her with much red paint. Notice the heart is on the wrong side. I am infact a doofus. It doesn't matter what colour my hair is I will always remain the blondest of blondes when it comes to common sense. I actually looked at it and went "here is my left hand...heart is on the left...paint it on the left" (duh jade that isn't HER left!) I realised only when she was totally complete.


The finished product. To get the arrow through i had to drill two enormous holes through her making sure my angles were just right. I then shoved it on through and attached the pointed tip. I thought my blood looked way too fake so I got out the hot glue gun and made her limbs look a little more "ripped" I guess you could say. And made all the rest of the blood on her stick up more. Also there is some glue hanging from the arrow tip (which you can't see unfortunately). I just painted all over this with red paint and got a stencil to paint on the "OUCH!" then gave her a top coat of gloss.



She is now at the entrance to my house wearing a pirate hat. I think she freaked out my landlord. YAY!

Thought I would post some pics of some of my old hairstyles. All are done by me except for the very first one which was done by a great guy I used to work with. It's too hard to bleach roots with black ends by yourself that's for sure!

When it was like this I used to get the hairdryer with one of those big round end bits with the spikes sticking out and put it on my head on the lowest setting spiralling it round and round until it was dry then attacked it with massive amounts of hairspray. The result:

Then I cut it all off. (still don't know why that hair was awesome)

My hair is now like the pictures I posted a couple of pages ealier BUT a couple of days ago i made it a purple/blue colour. So pretty i love it!

Not that exciting but thought I would post anyway. It's super hot here in Australia at Xmas time. Especially seen as we made the trip to north QLD to visit my mum. Much to my dismay all of the cute little baby Xmas outfits in stores must be imported from the states or something because they are all for a white Xmas! BOO! Anyway I HAD to dress up my little man for his first Xmas (what's the point of having kids if you can't dress them up?) so I knocked up this quick design and put it on a red singlet. Quick, easy and super cute! Plus much more to my taste than the store bought outfits anyway!

One I got a few years ago. And no it's not copied from the distillers. I didn't even know brody had a tattoo like this until somebody told me.



My favorite tattoo ever. Don't ask me what it means. It's just meant to be ironic/sarcastic. Dry humor is my favorite kind of humor so hush. (sorry about the boob shot too. breast feeding sucks the big one)



I have more but these are the ones i actually like haha. (don't get tattoos when you're 17 ok guys!) I loved looking at everyone elses tats. Some really beautiful artwork in here.

Ok so this is my hair atm. It's defiately not the most exciting it's ever been but i'm in love with it for the moment. Excuse the stupid faces. I'm not really sure how to pose "pretty" but i do know how to do stupid!

Hi everybody!! *waves*  

I have been lurking for awhile and finally decided to post something. I made this little guy today. He is my first attempt at a soft toy and is completely hand stitched. (which is why the stitching isn't the best haha) I wish i could say i am 8 years old and made this on my school holidays but unfortunately i'm 21 and made this out of the material from a first attempt (gone horribly wrong) at making my 4 month old some banana shorts.   Never-the-less, i think he is pretty cute so try to be kind. Being crafty in a sewing-like way is very new to me.

Fortuantely the little monkey seemed to enjoy Mr Banana more than he would have enjoyed banana shorts.
