11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Unicorn Bunnyhug on: April 28, 2006 07:07:58 PM
I volunteered as a swap angel for the 'Amazing Hoodie Swap' for nikkisixx666 and I made this bunnyhug (in Saskatchewan, hoodies are called bunnyhugs) from scratch out of some black soft fleecy fabric, and hot pink felt. I machine sewed the hoodie and the unicorn/stars were handsewn. I came up with my own pattern for it...here's the pics!

This is the front of it:

The back:

An action shot of me trying it on to check the shape of it:

I'm glad nikkisixx666 liked it...i think i'm now officially addicted to making hoodies.

13  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Heart Journal (first attempt) on: April 11, 2006 07:14:54 PM
Okay, i made this for a swap. My partner recieved today, so I can post it now!
It was my first attempt at journal making, it's a sewn journal made with coptic stitch...I added a button closure. The cover I painted freehand. Obviously, my stitching isn't the greatest (straightest) LOL but it was a fun thing to make, I'd definitely like to make more. Anyways here's the pic:
14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Plaid-ish hat on: April 11, 2006 07:04:09 PM
I made this hat for the Heart Swap round 2. I used a pattern, I believe it is simplicity, but I'm not sure...the Heart pin on it is beaded:

here's an action shot i took while i sneakily tried on the hat before sending it to my swap partner:
15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Heart Bag on: April 11, 2006 06:41:15 PM
O.kay here's a purse I made for the Heart Swap Round 2
it's basically a tube (it's round on the sides, but the picture doesn't show it too well)

I lined it with heart fabric (since it was a heart swap...durr)
16  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 10 ENTRIES / Pink and Paint! shoe makeover Extravaganza! on: April 04, 2006 09:43:17 PM
Okay, so I started with these plain, boring, tan sandals I found in the 'get rid of' box in the basement:

What I did with them is: I first cut off the strap part, cut a cover for them out of a shiny silky pink material, sewed that to the strap. The hard part then, was re-attaching the straps to the sandals, which I hand-sewed on with stitches that looked like little X's along the sides. After that came the fun part: going crazy with black, white, and metallic pink paint. Here's my finished result:

tell me what you think! Wink
17  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Boney Bats!!! on: April 01, 2006 06:39:59 PM
Oookay, so i bought this fabric (it's flannel pyjama stuff) because I just thought it was hilarious: skeleton bats with the words 'Boney Bats'...i originally wanted to make a pants but then i hadn't enough fabric, so I just whipped up this sweatshirt thingy. The see-through part is black netting...i wanted something a little different. The neckline sticks up kinda funny, but after working on this for several hours, i didnt feel like fixing it.

Here it is just lying on a bed.

Action shot: the front of it...lol just ignore my face it was early in the morning, still had some sleep in my eyes

and the back:

Any comments will be appreciated.

Here's another one I did, the front has stars on the shoulders:

and the back of it says 'Playa Hater' at the bottom, the white in between is a paint smear that i later took out with stain remover.
