I know there are a few people on craftster who are prepping for Halloween.... I've started prepping for Christmas.. someone at work told me how many weeks we have left and it freaked me right out!

So I decided to start with le parentals, This little doozy is going to be part of my mum's present.


I used http://www.microrevolt.org/knitPro/ to generate the pixellated goodness then went at it.

When me and my guy moved in together I decided we needed more stuff on the walls. Not having a job at that time meant that this was my self-appointed mission.


Mr Bexsus took Philosophy at Uni so I took his 3 favourite philosophers and gave them little robot-buddies

I'm ashamed to say this piece took me well over a year to complete...
The pattern is from Jan Eaton's 'A Creative Guide to Cross Stitch Embroidery' (isbn:1853681229)

Having borrowed the book from my local library I copied down the OUTLINE onto ordinary paper (I really don't understand past-me) and had to work out the number of stitches per letter.
Luckily, about a year later my Nanny found a stack of cross-stitching books in a charity shop and grabbed them for me- in that pile was the book necessary for this bit of work.
so, finally here it is...

Here I go again,
whilst wandering through my flat (ha- makes it sound enormous- it's not) I realised just how much stuff I've made/stitched up/done that I never bothered to put on craftster... ooops.

So here we go after that pre-amble, my V for Vendetta quotable stitchery.


The frame, I'm pretty sure, was aquired at the dump and throughly cleaned then painted a glossy black.


My type transfer method was to print out the font on acetate ( we had a lot of it at the time) then use that as a template to then roller on fabric paint!
It seems like an awful lot of work and I'm not sure why I did it that way!

I think i'm going to do a batch and send them out in England.
