21  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Beginners inchies swap (SU 16th Dec 2010 - 15th Jan 2011 SO 16th Feb 2011) on: January 21, 2011 11:50:20 AM
I'm a third of the way through Grin

@LimeRiot- I had to save the pictures of your space to show my bf and say "See! This is what I need!"
22  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Matchbox Swap round 4! CLOSED Sendouts 2/18/11 on: January 21, 2011 11:46:20 AM

I gathered everything I wanted to put in my partners' boxes ... and had to laugh.  I really thought I could stuff all that into one tiny matchbox?!  And things THAT BIG into the matchboxes?!?!

To update the old saying, my eyes were bigger than my matchboxes!   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Feel better to know you're not the only one...the template looked so much bigger on the screen (even at 100%) compared to what I wound up with.
I'm at 99% done on one and just starting the second!

I think we should do a swap with those big matchboxes one day >_>

I can totally imagine and only hope to be able to wear something so pretty and artistic when I get married. The asymmetrical aspect of the last two just pushes them over the edge for me from "that's really pretty" to "that would make me cry to own".
Not even kidding, you're very talented.

awwww are you getting married soon?

Actually waiting for my bf of 8 years to propose soon Grin
The ring I generally wear on my right hand ring finger went missing when he had it last, and while normally he frets along with me when we lose things, this time I received a vague "Oh...it'll turn up soon I'm sure."
That and my father, who designs rings and pendants has been giving me some strange smiles the past couple times I've seen him.  The men in my life are bad secret keepers.

Flower-wise, Manic's suggestion of those white and yellow daffs would probably be awesome.
Maybe orchids? They're pretty popular, but the variety of colour is huge there.
Or ooh, one of the purple varieties of morning glory (technically people think it's a weed, I know).  It's got that beautiful gradient from white in the center to the purple outer. Plus, cute little leaves and vines that get that adorable and whimsical curly look. Lots of pretty variations in these guys too.
(the second one here is my fav: http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/vines/msg0401181511078.html)

26  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: polymer clay reverse stocking stitch Tutorial on: January 11, 2011 09:02:32 AM
I totally understand how you feel not quite 100% about the bracelet, but in my eyes, it looks absolutely awesome. I'd wear it with pride.
It would be interesting to with a metallic colour and then age...knitted metal would be pretty intense I would think.

Wow... gorgeous work. Some of it I could see as bridal jewelery.
This^

Woot! Excited to be a part of this.
I was worried I might have to put off swapping til later into the new year, but there are a fantastic bunch of stash busting, tradesies, trinket-y type swaps right now. Super stoked, I think if I have time after packing I will be making some preliminary themed groupings off stuff...hrmmm.

I think that's fantastic for only your second piece!
You've definitely got a great eye for shapes!
