2  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: Thick and Thin Handspun and dyed. on: September 11, 2007 08:50:39 AM
Thank you all very much, I am spinning up a second look alike soon when my roving comes in- that is if I can get the colours correct.  Sadly the kittens are too cute, and they get no punishment for stealing things... Smiley
3  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: Braided Roving... on: September 11, 2007 08:39:56 AM
I've done it before, as a small accent to match a larger, plied yarn, but I twisted the roving as I braided it, to make it stronger.

Somehow I think that's what I did as well, since I am *still* wearing a piece of the braided roving... The closest I have gotten to pilling is at the very end where the weaving gets loose because I cut and tied it around my wrist...

That's really pretty.. I don't really understand tie-dye, but if I did, I'd be buying white dresses to do this to.
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Boyfriend Hoodie on: September 10, 2007 09:41:31 PM
It's *so* cute.  So cute apparently I had to rewrite "so" and "cute" about 3 times each...  I love the colours and design- if at all possible, pin him down and photograph him in it.

Definitely cute!  My room mate tried to knit something with bags before, and if I remember correctly it ended in disaster, and flying knitting needles.  Again it looks wonderful!

Woops, that was mine... accidentally posted in my Fianc's account.. again it's gorgeous Smiley
