Something slightly different for me today, this necklace made from bare copper wire, labradorite and agate flowers and emeralds for the vine leafs! Hope you like it! Another hospital make kept me going yesterday
I created this bracelet by using lots of different weaves on different small sections of wire and then swirling them in and out of each other. I added some tiny peacock pearls a charoite and an amethyst. I used copper wire as my weaving wire and silver plated wire as my base to add a bit of contrast/sparkle. Hope you like
Here is my latest item, a wire wrapped black agate slice. I used copper and silver coloured wire. There are bits of it that I'm not totally happy with but considering it was made whilst I'm in hospital ill and with shakey hands thanks to nebulisers I'm happy with it, hope you like!
Would anybody be interested in another round of bead soup? I've spoken to mistress_jennie who has no plans to run another, but is happy for me to start one. Requirements would be 50 beads and 1 beaded medium, but you would be more than welcome to go over and above so long as you discuss with your partner.
I'm going on a jewellery making course on Friday run by the lady who got me in to wire weaving, and who continues to be a massive source for my inspiration! I'm half excited and half nervous!!!! I have been making a necklace to wear and am really chuffed with it, although there's lots id change, mainly the neatness of the silver wrapping. I made the pendant and the chain its on. Hope you like!!!
So, I've been trying to push myself out of my comfort zone lately and create things that are not my normal style. I've made myself two rings that are very different to what I make/wear, but I love them. Hope you like....
Amethyst and silver wire. This is a lot more delicate than anything I normally make or wear:
Then, I bought an absolutely stunning strand of Labradorite when I saw it I knew I had to fit as much as possible of it on a ring for myself so I could sit and stare at it all day long. This is very big and chunky, definitely a statement ring, but I adore it!
