I'm most definitely interested in this!
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: If you had... (what type of doll to buy?) on: June 07, 2009 05:54:26 PM
Right now I'm saving up for a grey Pipos Dali with full face up, tail, and hopefully both sets of ears, which is about $320 with shipping.  Last week, though I bought a Dal (the Cinnamoroll Sanrio collaboration one) and am looking at a Blythe next.  Her waist is a bit floppy...I didn't know of the issues with their joints at the time.  I'm going to look into a replacement body.

If you want to stay within the US, check Ebay.  My Dal came from a dealer in Indiana (shifty_lizard_cool_stuff).  They carry Taeyangs, Pullips, Dals, and Minis.  Right now all of their dolls are 10% off.
4  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Need help with gorey prop ideas!!! on: March 09, 2008 08:18:23 PM
I guess this would be the right forum for this.  I'm helping a friend who's in charge of props for a play.  In one scene, a guy gets disembowled (intestines pulled out, blood splatter...).  Now, they want something gross looking, but not too messy because of clean up issues and time constraints.

I've already suggested the Knitted Digestive System and resin/contact paper for blood pools, but am stalled on ideas for the "flying gore".

Any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated.  Even if they are slightly messy.  Thanks!

In Rob Zombie's Halloween, the mom (in the 70's parts) wears some bitchin' sweaters.   Cheesy

8  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Innocent smoothie/age concern uk Big Knit KAL (mini Hats) on: October 15, 2007 04:17:20 PM
I took my one little hat to the P.O. today and was informed that unless I pay for the super-duper fast shipping (mucho $$$), it wouldn't get there by Oct 22nd.  I barely had enough money with me to send it in the first place, so it's back home with me.  I'm so sad, but they do this every year, right?  I guess I'll just make a hoard of them for next year...  Cry
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: My scoodiesss! w/ FUN FUR, really FUN fur. [IMG Morbid obese] on: October 02, 2007 08:11:32 PM
I love those!  They look super warm.  Plus I have some crazy fun fur lying around...
10  CLOTHING / Clothing Sewalongs / Re: 2007 Costume Sewalong (All Costumes) on: September 10, 2007 04:35:05 PM
I'm going to be a horse/pony/unicorn (not sure exactly yet) but I started making my tail last night from fake hair.

I found this picture: http://www.3wishes.com/images/cuddlylion.jpg
and that's kind of the type of costume I'm going for. Except I think a separate top and skirt instead of a dress. And I'll make the legwarmer/bootcovers look more like furry clydesdale legs, with hooves on the bottom. And some sort of headband with ears and a mane.

I'm being a unicorn as well and am kind of following this pattern for the head/hat -- without the harness of course Cheesy:

I wish I could join this, but most of my costume (the accessories) are going to be knitted.
