21  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / FABRIC AND BEAD STAR DECORATION on: April 07, 2008 11:21:43 AM

Here's a wire and fabric star decoration that I finished off with some vintage crystal beads. Have no idea where the heck an item like this might go, is this the place?

Wow, a lot of love in those stitches - fantastic!

Love the nailpolish flourish on the front - great idea!
24  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: Getting original embroidery designs printed. on: March 18, 2008 05:36:37 PM
Thanks for the detailed info. I am working on finding a printer in Europe that uses sublimation ink. If I run out of options here I will look into the supplier you've listed. I agree, the more people interested in embroidery via design or stitching the better the market will be in the end.

Thanks for that. I realize the transfers are limited but I wouldn't need many imprints, I'll keep in mind they need to be fresh copies. The Flickr thread, is how I narrowed down my options - that's a great source of info. Thanks
26  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Embroidered & Applique gift bag for a little girl on: March 05, 2008 06:12:04 AM
I moved this post to Needlework because I think it might be more appropriate here. The work that went in was mainly on the embroidery and applique, the bag itself is quite simple.

I love to combine applique and embroidery, I used anitque linen and a liberty print for the girl's dress. The kite is a scrap of silk with a heart embroidered on top.

Wow, thanks all - an A+ too!
28  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Embroidered & Applique gift bag for a little girl on: March 04, 2008 01:17:17 AM
Antique linen gift bag.

Here's a little gift bag I made using antique linens, a Liberty print applique and embroidery. The little girl who received it was very pleased,
mainly because her name is on it!

Lovely papers, you should think about selling packs of them - maybe packs of the same hue. I'm sure there are loads of card makers and collage artists who would be interested. Maybe you already do?!?

Cute, love those pirates but Jack is my favourite!

Try staying further away with the camera to try and cut down on the blur. All cameras (cheap and expensive) have a range that they will photograph in focus - many start at about three feet away, some need to be further away. Give it a try, you may have clearer results Smiley
