Hey there, Ho there, fellow SC-area knitters!

So... Thursday is nearly upon us. Beth will be away, but I am going to be here, so if anyone wants to get together for some good old stitch 'n bitch let me know! I may or may not hang out at Wegman's at 7:30 if no one responds; we'll see what happens. So, if you're in the mood to knit with another person who is also knitting, definitely let me know  Cheesy

It'll be the same deal the following week (8/2), so I'll be checking often to see if there are any takers. If you want to knit but not at Wegman's, I'm pretty flexible so suggest away.

The following Thursday (8/9), however, I believe neither Beth nor I will be in town, so you'll have to fend for yourselves.

Oh! And I learned to CABLE!! Beth was right, so easy! Not to mention... WHY didn't I try it before?!?  Cheesy

I absolutely love this! You really did a fantastic job. She looks so focused... and peaceful... and nun-ish... anyway, she's awesome  Cheesy

PM me, too, when you get some items together.

Wow, could it be that I forgot all about these?

Thanks for the compliments! My friends loved them  Cheesy

The mola mola is my friend's favorite animal, too! She introduced me to them, which is why it makes a (kind of) random appearance on the pillowcase.

Well, I vote spinning, unless you think you won't have much knitting time in Germany... Do Grandma and Grandpa in Germany like to babysit?  Wink

I'm up for tonight! Heading to the beach this weekend (knitting in hand) so I'm hoping to get a good bit of the gusset done on these socks before then! I haven't done much lately because I lost the 5th DPN to my set (boo) and Micheal's and JoAnn's don't seem to believe that people knit socks (what with their lack of proper needles and yarn, more booing) so I just got more needles yesterday from Stitch Your Art Out (hooray!)

Guess what else I got!

...YARN! And cable needles! I'm taking the plunge!  Cheesy

See you tonight!

P.S. I realize now I should no longer make fun of Mark Trail because I type like he speaks regularly!  Cheesy

Words cannot describe how much I love your version of this sweater. I saw the pattern before, but thought, "Meh, I don't know how much I would wear it with those sleeves. Too bulky for summer, not warm enough for winter..."

But this is fantastic! I've been searching for a perfect sweater pattern that would be interesting to knit AND very wearable AND flattering... and(!) this is the perfect combination! Fantastic work!  Cheesy

P.S. I love your blog  Smiley

A new toy? Oh! Let me guess!
-Is it related to yarn?
-Is it something you have used before?
-Is it a spinning wheel?!?

(I'm pulling for you to get one soon  Wink)

I'm ready and raring to knit! Although I haven't lately... heel flaps are boring. And they only lead to heel gussets, which are always bad news. However, I do need to get knitting on those booties for my new cousin...

Anyway, 7:30, I'll be there.

So, as far as I know, I'm the only one who will be at Wegman's (7:30) tonight, but I will be there anyway. Regardless, I hope to see some of you there... or at least the waitress I invited so she doesn't think my knitting night invitation is some cruel joke  Wink

Word.
Congrats on the socks! I finished my first and have started the second. Woot! (*psst* Knit more socks... knit more socks... misery loves company... err, knit more socks...)

I'll be there tonight! My waitress from the Olive Garden last week was fascinated by my knitting and said she just couldn't get the hang of it, so I told her to come on down. I forgot all about next week in the 4th hoopla. I may or may not go to Wegman's in case the waitress comes next week because I forgot to tell her about the guild. Plus Jared will be here next Thursday. Get lots 'o knitting in on your vacation! Yup, that's homework. I do give F's.

P.S. Spell Check wants to call Wegman's "Legman's"  Cheesy

It's Thursday again, which means quality time with your knitting (or spinning) and some chatty knitters.

Wegmans, 7:30, be there. If you're lucky, I'll be trying on my sock in the cafe! You don't want to miss that, do you?!  Cheesy

I have an announcement: my gusset is done (on the first sock, anyway)! I'm almost afraid I won't wear these socks for fear of ruining them!  Cheesy

Wegmans, 7:30? If we're really lucky someone will leave Full House on with the volume turned up; then, creepy Michelle Tanner will hypnotize me into doing her bidding!  Shocked

Hope to see you all there!

Another Mark Trail post brought to you by yours truly!  Roll Eyes
