I fixed it!apologies.

OH and heres a link to the solid perfume method:
http://www.instructables.com/id/E72DLJ4D9FES9J58GH/
Dont be scared of it- its super easy and a lot of fun to do!

I used jasmine, lavender, vanilla and lemon, but yo can use whatever you fancy! I also added some dried rose petals just before pouring for a bit of colour.

I received! sorry for the delay, I got my ticket from the postman and had to wait ALL DAY to go and collect!!

I WAS AND STILL AM RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED! There's nobody in the house to be excited with at the moment so I'm going to be excited at you!

The package smelled yum so it took all of my energy not to open it in the car (believe me that is very good self control for me)

Anyways onto the beauty that became real in the hands of pops:
I will start with the small item:
I can't believe you would classify this as small pops, how clever! I am learning a little yoga to chill out- just at home and i cant remember poses

A fan out  mini kit with 5 relaxing poses and how they make you feel! heres a close up on my fav

(hehe cow face!)

next up is the medium item, this is what the lovely smell was coming from, an item to help me sleep (I've been having little bouts of insomnia) its a heat pack filled with oats and lavender, in gorgeous batik fabric

it doesn't stop there! I was spoiled with a matching eye mask to block out those pesky streetlights

And the large. I cannot put into words how I felt when I opened this, this item is beautiful and if happy was an adjective I would use it for this- a cushion cover with what must have been days of flawless embroidery and tiny details, see for yourselves:

We agreed to include some extras, Im going to try and keep these two for my little trip to spain in september:

(excuse the hairy legs...)

and a sunshiney window sticker ,  I can't decide where it should go yet, but im thinking it looks quite good in our living room, what do you think?

Thankyou so much pops, you are one talented lady! I had an amazing time crafting for you and the goodies you sent me really made my day (and probably my night too, I'm going to sleep so well!)

xx

5  U.K. AND IRELAND / IRELAND / Re: Northern Ireland Craft Fairs on: January 08, 2009 09:57:35 AM
There is a once a month craft fair in the Black box theatre in Belfast, the tables are shockingly FREE and its packed.

I am also lobbying to get a craft fair at my university (Queen's)

I have recently started a creative society in queens and looking for anyone whos up for some slightly mad crafting activities to join in.

Please PM me if you're interested in either!
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / HELP! new university craft society on: December 04, 2008 01:43:27 PM
I literally- today- officially started a creative society in Queen's University Belfast.
We want it to attract guys and girls, and we want to keep it really edgy- PLUS we don't get funding for a year...

However we have access to a big space to work in, and to let everyone know about it we want to hold some kind of drop in event that would allow anyone to have a go and go home with something they've made.

I'm stuck for ideas! we need something:

-that would be great for guys or girls
-could be done very cheaply
-would be very edgy or cool (this is our first event, we want to set the right image)

Please help, all you amazing people, full of ideas!!

absolute and total kudos. That is amazing. You have DINOSAUR cake toppers!!!!!!
8  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Glass Beer, Wine, and Spaghetti Bottles on: July 09, 2008 02:45:43 PM
You could paint some of them with blackboard paint and blu-tack some chalk to the side so people can doodle on them or write messages. Or how about making bottle gardens out of them? - plant tiny plants inside, (choose carefully which ones) and hang them or put them on a shelf?
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / first post recons by a long time lurker/ craftster obsessive! on: April 16, 2008 10:25:13 AM
 Smiley

Here's a bunch of random recons, and some tops made from scratch (all without patterns etc) I made over the easter holidays, when I actually had some free time *sigh*

Mens tee taken in and I added a random neck/chest panel with zipper, fab for cycling

Indian sari dress with lacy elasticated waist

Long sleeved top meets see through beach dress thing in a shiney jumper explosioN!

Big Black mens t, stencilled and refashioned into halter

Old orange Tee meets old tie- note the orchid detail...

Thats enough for now i think, more to be posted soon though!

Apologies for the sidewaysness...

Does anyone recon anything of a similar style? I'd love to see it, or take advice/criticism! (bring it on!)

10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Crafting for Men on: December 03, 2007 02:44:57 PM
I have a bunch of male friends from University i HAD to make gifts for, and iv racked my grey matter for going on two weeks, this is what i have come up with:
All of them are getting record bowls with some of the following in:

Handmade star shape juggling balls (stuffed with rice- so easy)

Handpainted theme mugs (they argue over each others mugs...)

Personalised, maybe embroidered, if i have time, guitar straps

old nintendo style pillow cases as seen here somewhere

malteaser squares MMMM

and they all live together, and i reckon their walls are bare so i have painted them a   lion (its manly i guess)

Thats all iv got peeps!
Thanks for your ideas.
