Hi, I haven't posted in a while, because I'm usually too lazy to upload photos here, but I thought I should share this one, because I've been wearing this belt almost every day since I made it and I love it more than my remaining 50 belts together. Also, I managed to make it out of scraps of materials I had at home, but even if you have to buy them, it's gonna be probably something around 5 USD or less, so it's really cheap. I made the fastening in the front (which is very convenient), but covered by the bow, so it doesn't show. The tutorial can be found here - it's too many photos for me to re-write the tutorial here, so I hope linking to my blog is OK: http://vitainvitro.blogspot.cz/2012/08/diy-tutorial-temperley-london-aw-12-13.html
Special_occasion made me a fabulous skirt I can't wait to wear, a pair of earrings and a matching brooch, I aboslutely love the pearls with wine and black fabrics! And she added an extra pair of earrings (which is awesome, since buying clip-ons is really difficult) and a lovely pearl bracelet. Thank you so much, I love everything!
For some reason I'm really lazy to take nice pictures and post here on craftster (and I don't really like double-posting, since I already put most of my stuff on my blog...). But anyway, I can't sleep right now and I have a skirt that I just recently made (and am proud of).
I used an old denim fabric mum gave me, some lining I found in my collection, the same goes for the lace. And I stole my mum's cool sewing machine for the embroidered bottom. Honestly, I thought the embroidery would kill me. Even though the machine did 99% of the work for me, I still had to keep the fabric even and cutting the little curves on the very bottom made my hands ache. I wore it once to a meet-up, but then I realized I messed up the zipper a bit and right now it sits in a drawer, waiting for me to re-sew it. I was originally inspired by a Liz Lisa skirt, but the outcome is totally different .
I'm just finishing another skirt (have you noticed how difficult it is to BUY a nice skirt at a regular shop? I can't get any I'd like!), so hopefully I'll post it soon...
So here are the pairs I got from my lovely partners!
1) Earrings from bladeburn: I totally love them, I tried puting them on with a lot of different tops and they go well with everything, not to mention I love rhinestones, bows and pearls! I think (also from looking at the... I lack the vocabulary... cards? they came on) she went with the "haute couture" theme <3 She also sent me a postcard, but I can't remember where did I put it
2) Earrings from April: I love them so much, they're gorgeous! I recently got a new handbag with a chetah print and these match it so perfectly! I actually didn't really hope anyone would notice the mention of animal prints in my questionnaire, but she did!
3) Earrings from Savvysister These two pairs are so cool as well! I love the idea of making a circle shaped earrings with beads, and black goes with a lot of my clothing, and the silver pair is so elegant and sophisticated! I'm supposed to have a date tommorrow (in case the dude actually calls me) and I totally plan to wear them
Yay, I finally received (damn you, slow post office!)
Cat: "Do you need any help!" Me: "NOOOO!"
And inside was a huge lot of AMAZING beauties:
The sweet earrings Utena received from Akio, and me from Revolutionary Girl - they're clip ons!
Lovely ChuChu pin:
Pegasus (from Romeo x Juliet) plushie! It's so cute, cuddly and so well done! I looooove it!
Juliet's shirt! It'll work for both cosplay and LARPs! And it fits me perfectly:
Sweets and tea (they taste real great!):
Amu styled headband (Shugo Chara) - Revolutionary Girl used different fabric which is great, because this one goes much better with my style than the one from the series - I love it, and it's really comfortable too!
I also got a CD with Utena art books scans, Utena's soundtrack's remixes and Hetalia comics!
Thank you so much, Revolutionary Girl, everything's perfect!
Dad picked up my package from Jex today, yay! The things are SO BEAUTIFUL AND COOL!
A jar with hair clips. I hope it's visible on my crappy pictures, but the jar is gravured (I think) and has two different wheels and two different fleurs de lis on each of the sides - I was staring at it with my jaw hanging open for at least an hour. It's so original and beautiful! Not to mention it looks really professional.
And here are the super cute barrettes it contained (They match a new blouse I bought recently so prfectly it's almost imposible!)
Then there was a book case with my nick and real name written on it, which is a really cool idea, it looks as if I'm really famous The case has also a picture of Emilie (one of my favorite pics of her actually) on the bottom of the inside. I erased my surname from the picture, but it was written in a really beautiful font. I absolutely love it, it's such a great idea and I've always wanted one! The box contained a cute card and necklace:
And this beauty got unfortunately cracked while being handled by the postmen, but I think I can fix it with a little bit of glue. Sorry for the weird angle and way to photogrph it, but I wanted you to see the roses.
Thank you so much, jexxican! I love all of the items you sent me!
PS: They cancelled Emilie's concert that was supposed to b eheld tommorrow, she got some illness and can't sing TT_TT
